It's a cute little self defense set. The price is pretty good, especially with the current coupon. The zap sound on the stun gun is LOUD. Looks like either piece would be very effective. My only complaint is the bling. You can feel the sticky/jelly texture of the adhesive between the stones. It's a somewhat off-putting sensation, and I'm not sure how well the stones will stay on over time.

I'm not going to (well. Probably not...) but I want to know what to expect if I ever need to use it. I hope I never do.Anyway, I already have a pepper spray thingie, but I got this combo specifically for the "taser/stun-gun" part. First of all, I love the fact that it's rechargeable by plugging it into the wall. I might change gears on this in a few weeks/months, but right now I'm tired of everything needing a charging cable. Quite happy to just stick this into the wall overnight and drop it back into my purse.The flashlight almost got me in trouble the other night - I was walking my dog and brought this with me, and kicked the flashlight on for an area of the walk that has no streetlights and very uneven sidewalks. I thought I was just minding my own business and illuminating the path ahead of me, but a car driving through the neighborhood had some very unpleasant words to say; apparently I had unintentionally been shining the LED light directly at her/her windshield and MAN she was mad about it. I'll be more careful from now on, but dang, how was I supposed to know?I was showing a friend the "taser" (and asking if he thought I should try it on myself, or if he would volunteer; he said no and H*LL no, respectively) and when he heard the crackle of it, he said, "Sounds like a good one, but just in case, if you ever need to use it, don't let go until he's on the ground." He also pointed out that it *should* be helpful if any stray or wild animals approach; just the sound should scare them off.I'm not a huge fan of the "bling," and (as I halfway suspected would happen) I can already feel the adhesive in a few spots. I'm absolutely *terrible* about picking and peeling at things when I detect any peeling or seepage, so I imagine the shiny bits will be gone before too long - which is fine with me, but I mention it because I know some people will be considering it because of the rhinestones. (Also, if there have to be rhinestones, blue or green would be nice!) I will say that the rhinestones make it nice and "grippy," especially if you're someone whose palms get sweaty in a high-pressure situation. I feel like a wrist strap or lanyard (maybe with a break-away type closure) would be a very beneficial plus for ease of carrying and to minimize the risk of you dropping it in a confrontation.I didn't pay too much attention to the pepper-spray component, as the pepper spray I already have has a laser "target assist" feature. Perfect personal protection pair at a good price. I like that it's rechargeable. They are easy to use and, although I haven't needed to actually use it to defend myself, I am confident they will be effective when needed. Do some dry runs so you are confident and can act quickly if you ever get into a situation where you need to use them.

The fact that it gives you two ways of defense is nice the pepper spray shoots out a good distance and buy the smell it's strong the taser sound should scare of would be Aggressors with the sound alone and the Taz alone will leave him on the ground ..the size of the taser and pepper spray is perfect to fit mostly anywhere It's worth it

Haven’t had to use them yet and hope I never do, but they look well made, are compact and trendy and I trust they’ll work when needed.
