How to install a new battery?
1. You need to turn off the laptop and disconnect the power at the same time.
2. Disconnect the old battery from the motherboard to avoid unnecessary damage caused by disassembling the battery. Then unscrew the old battery and save it.
3. Take out the old battery, install the new battery on the battery box, tighten the screws, and connect the wires of the new battery.
How to maintain a laptop?
1. New battery: When using a new battery, it is best to discharge to 5% for several cycles. Then charge to 95%. So that it can be fully activated.
2. Excessive use: Do not deplete the battery to 0% often, which will cause damage to the battery or shorten the service life.
3. Charging sequence: when charging, first install the battery, then turn on the power, after fully charged, first cut off the power, and then unplug the power plug.
4. Long-term storage: Please fully charge and store unused batteries. (Charge once a month) Do not store in low battery to avoid reducing.

I bought this battery for my HP Pavilion and it works great it's been attached to my laptop for about the past year and it holds a great charge. I get about 4 hours of usage with the battery from full charge to death before charging it again. A lot of times with these aftermarket batteries they start wearing down rather quickly. I haven't noticed that thus far in a year so that's good. I would recommend this battery to anyone needing it for whatever laptop it is they have that fits with it.

I bought this laptop battery with high hopes of unshackling myself from the wall outlet and reclaiming mobile productivity. Three months later, those hopes lie deader than the battery itself.From the get-go, this battery felt like a lightweight imposter. The promised runtime never materialized, and the charge dwindled like an ice cube on a July sidewalk. But I chalked it up to initial calibration, hoping things would improve.They didn't. In fact, they nosedived. Eventually, the battery started refusing charges altogether. Plugged in or not, it remained resolutely inert, a paperweight posing as a power source. My once-portable laptop became a tethered desk ornament, mocking my dreams of wireless freedom.Troubleshooting? Done it all. Calibrated, updated drivers, checked settings, sacrificed a small goat to the tech gods – nothing. This battery was as dead as disco.**The Verdict:** A colossal disappointment. Save yourself the frustration and steer clear of this dud. Look elsewhere for a power source that actually lives up to its name.**Rating:** 0 out of 5 stars (but honestly, it deserves negative stars for the emotional distress).**P.S.** To the manufacturer: If you're reading this, please consider this a formal request for a refund and an apology for the battery-induced chaos you've unleashed.

Computer started mysteriously shutting down just after I entered my password. Turned out that (1) the external power cord was not fully plugged in and (2) the battery was almost totally uncharged. Started checking that the power cord was proper1ly plugged in -- solved problem #1. But I also started monitoring the battery & noticed that it never got up to 10%. This replacement was easy to install and works great. Can't say anything about longevity yet. (My computer is an HP Pavilion.)

Ma dukes rarely uses her laptop, so the original factory battery was found to be totally dead. After searching the net, I came across this battery and works well so far but it's only been in use for a few weeks.
