I'm glad I decided to buy this brand! I was planning on buying a Totes umbrella but judging from reviews I found online, the quality of Totes seems to be going downhill. This one met all of the requirements I had in mind for a replacement umbrella. I face the sun a lot while commuting every day and it's just small enough to fit in my smaller-than-average backpack.It has two layers of fabric and it shields you from sunlight well. The color is also nice! (I chose the blue and silver). Also the bars that hold it together are sturdy yet flexible, and the middle beam is a nice, solid metal. It was windy one of the first few days I put it to use, and it ended up flipping inside out. I turned it so the wind would flip it the correct way again and, amazingly, there was no damage done to the umbrella after. I was shocked and also impressed. I try not to use it when it's more than mildly windy out because I'm scared of it happening again though, lol (I could swear I read a review for this umbrella that mentioned it was damaged after it flipped inside out)So far, I've had it for just over a month and I love it! I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for a sun umbrella.

Sure you can use any umbrella to cut the sun down, but if you can see the sun through the bottom of the umbrella canopy, it’s not going to help. This umbrella blocks out the light, giving you instant shade. No, it will not make things super chilly, but it’s very noticeable and more importantly, it helps you manage the heatI live in a place with brutal and lengthy summers. This umbrella keeps the sun off you as you navigate scorching parking lots, music festivals and outdoor public places. Recently I had to stand in line outside for an event in 104° weather - this umbrella made it bearable.My only complaint is that it’s not tidy when I roll it back up, due to the thickness of the sun shade; but that is a small price to pay.

the catch the keeps umbrella up just gave way....I am so disappointed with this.,,,,Not usable so a waste of money.Just bought it a few months ago and really need it in these 90 degree temp

I brought for an all white party I figured it could protect from sun. The party was late evening so sun was heading down and no need. I can’t wait to try it tho and it’s cute.

This umbrella works great. I didn't feel the sun beating down on me as it usually does. Easy to open and close.
