We have two of this capo as well as standard shubb and Eliot capos. This G7 is my favorite. The Eliot has a terrible sleeve material on the bar. It settles in after maybe 1/2 hour of playtime and then things start to buzz. I tried replacing the sleeve with gas line and that did not work either.G7 and Shubb have good bar sleeve material. My old shubbs have been working literally for decades. But, I prefer the G7 over the shubbs because1) I can store it on the nut2) It applies even pressure on the strings3) It is sturdy4) It is beautiful

Excellent capo. Expensive for what it is but a really nice tool for your really nice guitar. Nice to be able to dial in the correct pressure that you need for different fretboard positions.

This capo is the best I have used so far. I wanted a nice capo for my Ryan Nightingale, and this one works very well. I like the way it conforms to the fretboard radius for even distribution of tension on all strings. Brilliant design! I have also heard raving reviews of their customer service and how they stand behind their product.

This capo really can be stored behind the nut on a Martin guitar. Also, I play medium gauge strings and this capo has sufficient strength with a couple turns on the easy to operated adjustment knob to press the strings down and not have the D or G buzzing. The inner surfaces of the yoke which surrounds the back of the guitar neck is nicely padded to keep from marring the neck. The adjustment yoke is padded, also. Even when set on the seventh fret, this capo does not interfere with my fretting hand. The capo comes in a presentation box, which also contains a quality leather pocket case for the capo. A cleaning cloth is included, as well. G7 capos are warranted for the life of the user. Buying my G7 Heritage capo on Amazon gave me the lowest price I could find and free shipping, to Prime members.

I play bluegrass guitar and dig into the strings with my pick. I've tried at least eight capos, and this is the only one that completely stops string buzz on my Martin D-28. It's basically like moving the nut up the neck on the guitar. It also easily slides over the headstock - something that several capos of this style could not achieve. It is easy to reposition and beautifully crafted. I hate recommending a capo that costs this much money, but it did the job for me. I'm now a big fan.

I have owned just about every capo out there for my acoustic guitars. I resisted the urge to buy these capos even though they are highly touted on the Acoustic Guitar Forum due to their ridiculous price. But I started playing a few guitars that have flat radius fretboards and standard capos struggle to work well because you have the really tighten then down hard to get even pressure as most capos have a radius that is more curved. So I finally decided to give these a try and see if their touted ART technology works and it indeed does. There is a mechanism that allows the rubber pad to form to whatever the radius of your fretboard is which allows you to tight down with just barely enough pressure without pulling some strings sharp. The build quality is excellent. I bought mine when the price fluctuated down to about half the normal asking price and even that is too expensive for a capo but it was a good purchase.

I've had more than a few capos and eventually they always break under the stress. This simple device works so well and is the best capo I've ever had. High cost, but then so would another 10 capos over the life of a guitar. Highly recommended.

Yes... it's expensive. No, it shouldn't be this expensive - BUT, it's fantastic. It comes packaged in a tasteful box containing a leather case wrapped in tissue. The case is embossed with the G7th logo, it smells as good as it looks, and has a separate pocket for picks. Inside the case the capo is wrapped in what appears to be a microfiber cloth which again features the G7th logo. Removing it is a decadent ritual that puts a smile on my face. The capo looks small in your hand, but it fits wonderfully and, once tightened, yields perfect tone. The design ensures your fret hand should never contact the mechanism and precludes damage to the neck of your guitar. Perhaps the case should have a belt loop on it so it could be attached to a guitar strap to avoid loss, and I might have preferred a more subtle nickel finish to chrome, but aside from that it would be difficult to improve upon this package. If you can get past the price you won't regret this purchase. If you feel it's too extravagant to buy for yourself, convince someone to buy you one as a gift - that's what I did...

The G7th Heritage capo is the best capo I've ever used when it comes to keeping your guitar in tune. I have a boxfull of spring loaded capos, and they all have the same problem of pulling the strings sharp, and then having to re-tune after the capo is applied. I very much like the ART technology which allows the capo to adapt to different fingerboard radius, so this capo works well on many different guitars. The high-polish finish and leather storage pouch are a nice touch. I highly recommend this capo to guitarists looking for high quality accessories for their guitar.

This capo got broken in less than a year with very light usage maybe like 20-30 times. Apparently top cap was glued to the plastic with a very poor chemicals. Fell apart in my hands. So disappointed. Is there a warranty for $200 capo? Can I get support / replacement for that?
