A hook is a hook, right? Not in this lifetime. If you have ever lost a big one due to hook not setting, or the barb rusting off, you will appreciate a Top Shelf hook. GAMAKATSU is my go to in my bass fishing. Yeah I have used the "value" hooks, you know where you get 180 hooks for $9.99. Not up to performance I need. I also have a few Owners that are great, and Tokars that are awesome but expensive. 90% of my hooks are GAMAKATSU the simple reason is they work, and I can depend on them.
