Our pool lights stopped working ages ago and we haven’t gotten around to having them repaired, so we were looking for an alternative in the meantime. This came up and it was cheap (should have been my first hint that it wasn’t going to meet expectations) so I decided to give it a try. After charging in the sun all day, we tried turning it on but it wouldn’t light up. We were just about to give up when it suddenly came on, but were dismayed to see that the lights were super weak and didn’t actually illuminate anything. It’s more like a novelty disco ball for the pool, something that just floats around and sort of works but doesn’t really do much. It’s also small so it constantly gets sucked into our filter trap and has to be fished out every few minutes. We had much better luck just installing string lights over the pool to give it enough illumination at night to be safe.

I was skeptical because of the reviews. But I think many of the bad reviews were expecting the quality of a 150$ unit for less than 30$. It charges long enough to where the lights are running until I go to bed. No waterproof issues yet ( I remove from the water before kids play in the water that might help ) overall no complaints worth the money. FYI I use it for a 15 ft above ground pool

Bought 3 and only one worked. Straight out of box to pool. I’m currently looking for something different. They tend to get water in them and don’t last long

Very well made product, but after having it in the pool all day charging in the sun it put on a 1 minute show at dusk and that was it. Tried charging it for a couple of days, turning it off prior to sunrise but it did the same on the second charge. Only lasted a minute.

We love to use this pool light! I don't suggest leaving it in the pool all the time because our skimmer want's to suck it inside. I prefer to put it out on night when we are enjoying to pool and all my friends and family that have seen it think it's very cool looking. It looks great and works well. I haven't had any issues at all and the price is very good too.

this is a great thing, one problem is do not wet the top, but you put it in a pool make it water proof

Does not light up my 13' in diameter above ground inflatable pool. Would need 2 of them for any kind of a night display if I was really needing it. Not very dynamic.Updating this review. I bought this initially in May 2017. Had it one season it was ok. The nex t summer we had a major hail and wind storm which the hail was so big it cracked the top of the light. The light still worked but the unit would take on water in the pool because of the crack. I packed it away with pool equipment at the end of the season not really remembering I even had it for 2 years. While getting the pool ready for use I found it.(I was not looking for it.) I sat it out of the way which happened to be in the sun for 2 days when I was out on our deck one evening and saw a light that looked like a Police car. I got up to look and see what it was, I realized it was still setting out. Well, it started working again! No, I still can't put it in the water but it looks cool sitting on my poolside patio tempered glass table! So, I have had it almost 4 years and it still works great. I wanted to order a new one but for a few years it was not available to purchase. March of 2021 I was looking at pool lights for the pool and saw this unit was available again! I did not hesitate one minute to order a new one for the pool! I love it!

I have bought thousands of things off amazon and have never written a review, but I was so underwhelmed by the performance of this light I thought it necessary. The lights are so dim and basically unnoticeable. It charged out in the sun for 2 days straight and when out of the water the LEDs appear to work great, however that does not translate when you place the item in the pool. I have included a picture, they are very unnoticeable. No, it's not just a bad picture, that's a pretty good representation of what you're getting unfortunately. My pool is around 4 feet deep at that particular point, item is charged and it is night time.
