Here's a budget option that will let you see if controller gaming on your phone is right for you WITHOUT breaking the bank.This controller lists for only thirty five - and can sometimes be had cheaper. It comes with Hall-effect sticks (so they won't develop stick drift over time) and the usual array of buttons: home, start/select, L1/L2 R1/R2, and a D-pad. The sticks click for L3 and R3 - but since this is a budget controller you'll find a few features missing here: There are no extra programmable buttons here and the L2/R2 are just digital buttons and NOT analog triggers. For many games the lack of analog triggers is not an issue, but you may miss having analog triggers if you're into emulating certain systems or playing racing games. For what I usually play, L2/R2 being digital doesn't present a problem.The sticks are smaller than on premium controllers, but testing them out with some FPS gaming they're precise and responsive - taller and definitely a better feel than the "switch sticks" found in some cheaper controllers. Face buttons (membrane) are responsive and not overly loud - no real complaints there. I prefer a "clickier" d-pad ... this one's a little soft for me but works fine. The ergonomic bumps feel good in my hands and have some texture so the controller's not too slippery.The controller is quite light - a little hollow/cheap feeling, but that doesn't really affect how it works and might actually be a benefit for carrying it around. There are no vibration motors/haptics (again ... budget controller), but most phones have vibration themselves if it's really important to have vibration for something. Pass-through charging is supported, though it will charge your phone slower than a direct connection. Mostly useful if you are gaming and don't want to stop to recharge your phone. There is no headphone jack - so you're using your phone speakers or Bluetooth for sound here.The one weak point I see is the USB-C connection flexes up and down. This is actually a feature of the controller to supposedly make it easier to connect phones in cases, but it creates a point of failure as the connector is held on by some plastic pins which can break (this has happened to me on another more expensive Gamesir controller with the same feature).Overall, I recommend this controller. It doesn't have the fancy features of the more expensive options, but it does its job well and for far less money.

I'm so happy I bought this instead of one with batteries* Small and light* Great build quality* Cheap* Everything just works!I bought it specifically for fortnite on Android. I was expecting to have to install some app and map keys and a bunch of other hassle. Instead I literally just plugged my phone it, and it worked immediately. No app, no mapping etc. Controls in fortnite are exactly the same as on my PS5. Passthrough charging if needed. I literally can't find a single thing to complain about.

I used this controller to make a handheld gaming computer, and it works perfectly! The controller is recognized right away in retropie and works without issue after the initial configuration. The only problem I had was that I accidentally mapped the hotkeys to quit games to the same buttons that switch the controller mode—that’s on me because I didn’t read the instructions. The controller is small, which my be difficult if you have bigger hands and/or if the game requires a lot of fast inputs; I have pretty small hands, though, so this works perfectly for me!I selfishly wish that I could get a version without the plastic on the back so I could more easily integrate it into projects…but that also doesn’t seem to be their typical audience.Overall, solid controller that’s a little on the small side. Perfect if you’re working on raspberry pi handheld projects and need a split style controller.

So far so good. It works perfectly with the game i wanted to use it for. It fits my iPad Mini pretty well, but it does clamp down on the volume button which I don't love. To me the usb-c connector should be on the right. It is comfortable to use but the grips could be bigger. The quality is decent and my husband prefers the joysticks to his backbone. The silicone pads do not always stay in place, but hasn’t been a huge issue so far. All and all I am pleased with the quality of this controller for the price.

I have an iPhone 16 Pro and I frequently have issues with the joysticks not working. I have to disconnect, close out the game, reconnect the controller, and restart the game. I usually have to do this 3-4 times before the joysticks start working. There have even been times where I have to go into the iOS settings, delete the controller, and then reconnect it before it’ll start working.

I switched to the x5 lite because I didnt like the bluetooth latency and the heaviness of the g8 plus. The x5 lite fixed these problems for me. It also fixed problems like the position of the right stick which was a problem for the g8. Only problem I have is the usb c connector on the left side instead of the right and the membrane digital triggers sometimes not holding the click. But that last problem could just be a small defect on the product that I got from them. Overall im satisfied and play games like Zenless zone zero.
