Old latch on 96 ford f150 was not grabbing hood and I was using tie down straps. Not any more. Warks as it should.

Works great. Says it won't fit 96 explorer, but all the ones that were supposed ybe for my explorer we're a total different design, so I bought this anyway. The handle is a little longer but still does the job
