The spreader will no longer charge and will not work. I only used it for a few weeks (last season) and when I attempted to use it again it would not work.

I.Have.Always put fertiliser on by hand but decided to get a spreader. And this one is fantastic. And has its own built-in battery that makes it very light.

I've only used this product one time and it seemed like a good product chargeable via USB. But after sitting for about 30 days I tried to reuse it and it wasn't charged after that it won't accept a charge at all and the light doesn't even come on so this now makes a good paperweight.

I love that you can just plug this up and charge it without needing a battery. It is very lightweight. I just wish there was a waterproof plug over the outlet part because it is a little exposed.

I was intrigued when I saw this cordless spreader available to try, so of course I had to order it. I'm very glad that I did. It was charged when it arrived, so I loaded it up with a mix of dry sand and old wildflower seed and took it out to the yard, even though it was Fall. I was really impressed with the amount of adjustability the spreader had. There is a wheel on the side near the bottom to adjust the speed of the spinner. A knob on the side of the handle adjusts the size of the hole that releases your seed, fertilizer, etc. And there is even a slider on the release area that adjusts the width of the spread. To operate all you have to do is pull the trigger button on the handle and it goes. And boy does it go. At full speed and wide open it throws your seed farther than a manual one would cranking at maniac speed.The spreader is solidly built and a bit heavier than my old manual spreader, but that is to be expected since it does have a battery. It included a USB-C charging cable but no block. There is an indicator light on the side that lights up when you pull the trigger to let you know the charge on the battery. The indicator light and the charge port are on the opposite side of the spreader from the speed adjustment wheel. Operation of the spreader is simple and requires a lot less effort than using a manual spreader. The hard part will be keeping the hopper full. I'm quite impressed with this spreader and hope that it will be easier to talk my kids into doing the yard maintenance with it next year.

For me this was a natural evolution from an older alkaline battery powered version I used for years. In addition to the benefits of having a rechargeable battery, this unit gives you multiple speed settings. It also has a nice rubberized handle. Sides are well angled to ensure good gravity feed to the last bit. Reasonable sound level. Has a very solid feel.On the downside, the trigger is a bit stiff and requires a good squeeze to open the last eigth inch or so. I'm hoping it will loosen up a bit once broken in more.The instructions that come with it are not particularly useful but fortunately you don't really need them as it is a pretty simple device. However, under the Storage instructions, shown in the photos, it says: "Remove the rechargeable battery from thedevice before storing the device (see theseparate operating instructions for thebattery and charger)" sic. OK so I tried that since I wanted to see the battery anyway. There were no separate instructions. It involved removing 7 screws. That doesn't seem right. Then I discover that it is actually 2 18650 batteries presumably 1000 mAmp each permanently mounted under the circuit board. Certainly doesn't look like they are intended to be removed. I guess they are using very generic instructions. Anyway, now you know.

WOW! I never thought I would actually need an automatic spreader, but after using this I gave my two manual ones away!This spreader is very durable yet nice and lightweight. The base is wide and sturdy to keep it in place while you fill it up with content. There are three adjustments: speed (for throwing distance), amount (for concentration of content) and opening (for direction of dispersing). Each adjustment is super simple.The spreader is very ergonomic - the handle is top mounted and the trigger is easily depressed. This is so much easier to handle compared to my other manual spreaders (which put a lot of weight on my wrists, forcing me to use smaller loads and more frequent runs). This spreader makes the chore soooooo easy!On top of that, it's rechargeable! Such an amazing tool, you will not be disappointed!
