The item is very sturdy and on the heavy side which is a good thing since it compresses the dirt into the ground easier. Assembly was pretty much straight forward and easy to put together. Excellent item.

I got this to try and fix my mess of a yard and thought it might help level out the dirt and seeds from planting and it really does work well. The main portion is heavy, but not too much that it becomes a pain to use. It dragged across the dirt fine and did a good job of spreading and leveling the area off. What was disappointing is that when putting it together, two of the three handle pieces did not thread together properly because they were sized just a little off. I check if there was maybe paint or something on the threads, but it looks like just an error in the manufacturing process. So when I went to put the poles together, I ended up striping them and now they are stuck half ways in. I’m sure with the right tools, I could try and separate them but I’m afraid the threads will be toast. I can still use the rake but I do not like the shape it’s in. The rest of the build seemed durable though and overall it’s a solid yard tool. Just check the poles before screwing them together and you should be fine.

This lawn leveling rake is a really good tool for yard work. So far I have used it to level out some uneven spots in my backyard, and it was very easy to use. It is also clearly built very sturdy and also feels very durable. I purchased the 48" rake, which has really good coverage so I was able to get the job done really quickly.I also like that the grip is soft, which makes it easier to use for a long time on larger projects - my hands do not get tired. I was also surprised at how easy it was to maneuver, even with the long handle. I can see myself using the rake for a lot of outdoor projects - it works well on soil and sand, as well as the lawn.I'm glad it has the lifetime replacement guarantee – so many lawn tools do not and I worry that they might not last. I'm not concerned about this rake.

This levelling works great and is very well-built/sturdy, I highly recommend it to anyone. What's more, the customer service from Gardease is incredible. Mine arrived with the threads on one of the lengths of the pole handle being off slightly in such a way that I wasn't able to thread that portion of the pole handle together with the other ones. I reached out to Gardease directly using the customer service email that was provided in the package with the rake and got a response from the owner of the company the very next day. She had taken it upon herself to go ahead and send me an entire new rake free of charge and went ahead and sent tracking info for it. This is customer service like you just don't find nowadays. She mentioned that they aim for 100% customer satisfaction and in this case, they absolutely achieved it. Rest assured that if you have any issue with a product from them, they will make it right.

I needed to level out an area that was 11”x56” and this helped me out tremendously! It arrived quick, was easy to put together, is built very well and I would recommend.

This yard leveling rake is a great tool. It's solidly-built, made from heavy-duty steel. There's no flex or flimsiness. It's a quality tool.I used it to level the 1,000 sq. ft. bentgrass putting green in my back yard (which is recovering from winter and a fungus, so it looks a bit rough...). I bought 1,750 lbs. of playground sand in 50 lb. bags, dumped the bags into piles, and used the rake to spread it around until it was flat. The rake has enough weight to sink into the sand piles you're trying to level out to pick up sand to spread it out. I found it easier to pull the rake through the sand piles until they were knocked down a bit. The sand flows over the edges of the rake, into the middle of the rake, and out through the openings, speading the sand evenly. As the sand gets flatter, the openings in the bottom catch uneven spots of sand and spread them further. The rake worked really well, better than I expected, actually. I did the entire lawn in maybe 30-45 minutes. I was curious to see whether dragging my heavy-duty cart upside down would do better spreading the sand because it's really heavy and has a large, flat, porous top. It didn't. The rake out-performed the upside down cart.I was worried that the 30-inch model wouldn't be sufficiently wide and would either leave track marks or would follow the contours of bumps and hills in the lawn and not make a flat surface. I needn't have worried. The 30-inch model did a great job. But... if I was buying one, I'd still opt for the larger 48-inch model. Keep in mind that flattening the sand piles with the 30-inch model required some strength, so the 48-inch model would require more strength. If you're a smaller person, go with the 30-inch model. The rake was very easy to put together. However, you're going to need real wrenches to do it. The tiny, little wrenches provided in the box just won't do it. They aren't long enough to provide the needed leverage. However, I don't fault the manufacturer at all for including them as a backup. This is a great lawn tool that I will be keeping and using.
