I was excited about this tool for my planting but after putting it together and having my husband check it out the screws are very loose. After using it one session and a couple of holes later it fell apart. Don't bother.

Great Tool! Better than others I’ve tried. The plunger is centered over the top for pushing out the plugs. Other units have the lever on the side and they bend.This tool works great, I was able to do 50 or 60 plugs in no time. Very happy

I had a bit of a hard time assembling the two larger screws. These Philips screw heads are much larger than the typical ones. Luckily, I had a screwdriver that fit this size. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to turn and screw them on. You almost need an impact driver to do it. The screws have some kind of blue stuff on it to help prevent them from self-loosening, but they also make it difficult to screw them on. The other two screws with the nuts were quick and easy to attach. After assembly, this seems to be solid and made well.This is a great device and worked like a charm. I was surprised that the middle pedal pushed the plugs out all intact. It takes a bit of force to dislodge the plugs but not very difficult. I’m not sure if my soil just happened to be at the right condition, but I was able to pull nice plugs out. I got the good grass from my back yard to fill the bare spots in my front yard. Just swapped the two plugs. We’ll see how that works out over the summer. I am very happy with the effectiveness of this device. Supposedly with Bermuda grass, this is a great way to fix bare spots. It just takes time.

I plant lots of flowers every year; getting on my knees and digging takes a toll on my joints. This sod plugger tool helps me a great deal. It was straightforward to put together (I had some help though). I was able to complete a whole row of tulips and Zinna bulbs against my fence in the back yard.

Works great for bulb planting or digging holes for small seedlings/plants. Made really quick work of planting about 300 seedlings which would have been literal back breaking work.

This is a good tool to have for lawn maintenance. It was easy to get plugs of good grass and transfer them to bare areas.
