I am impressed by how well these garden hand tools are made. The handles are real wood with a smooth finish. The spades have depth measurements on them so you know how deep you are planting seeds or bulbs. I am quite happy with them!

This is a nice set of garden tools. The metal is stainless so rust should not be an issue going forward. The metal is sturdy and doesn't seem prone to bending like some of the cheaper tools out there. The wooden handles are comfortable to hold, and the tools fit into the handles securely. All in all this is a nice set of tools that will get much use once spring hits. The plant tags and tie twine are a nice bonus as well. A lot of value here and highly recommended.

This one seems more about digging and not actually moving the dirt-I also have ones with notches on the side where this one doesntI had to knock it a star because I really didnt get to move the dirt as I would have expected due to there not really being a way to pack dirt when digging and moving it. I would still recommend picking this up if you are looking for a great valued gardening kit.

This garden tool set is an invaluable to any gardener, novice or seasoned, man or woman. I don't understand why the header description list it as gardening tools for women. These are very well-made and high-quality garden tools that should last the test of time, especially, with the heavy-duty, stainless-steel blades. I like the added stamped scale on the blades to assist me in determining depth when planting. Before, I would just guess, not anymore. These tools have smooth wooden handles that feel comfortable to grip. In order to maintain these wooden handles looking new, I would not leave them outside after use. As an added bonus, they provide multi-colored plant tags and a roll of plant twist ties which is appreciated. I would recommend these fine garden tools for your own use or as a gift.Update: I used them intensely the last couple of days to hand trench for a new water line. The area I was trenching was full of rocks. I alternated between the shovel and transplanter depending how wide the area was that I was working. I know, technically, not gardening but... The tools held up great without any issues even with the rocky terrain, the tools were undamaged and looked used, but still new. I was using them all day and I didn't feel fatigue in my hand from gripping the tools. My 5 star rating still stands, actually should be more that 5 stars. Great, comfortable, and durable tools.
