The extended plastic coating ensures comfortable, non-slip handling without transitions. The extra-sharp spade blade consists of hardened quality steel. The extra-large foot-rest with special profile s a firm hold when digging into the ground, and serves the optimum transferal of force onto the spade. The total period is 25 years.

25 jaar garantie is echt totale b.s. van gardena. Heb twee van deze scheppen versleten binnen 2 jaar en onder de 10x gebruikt. De lasnaden bij de spade aan de achterzijde begeven het, de schep klept hierdoor dubbel. Garantieclaim wordt lacherig over gedaan.

Ich habe den Spaten jetzt eine längere Zeit. Er ist sehr stabil und der Griff ist sehr handfreundlich.Auch für kleinere Hände gut händelbar.Würde ihn wieder kaufen und weiterempfehlen.

I've reached a point where I can afford a little more than the cheapest, and this spade was a bit of an experiment. Well it paid off - it's noticeably better in so many ways.Folded over top on the blade makes it easier to stamp on to drive through hard ground or rootsBlade with flutes in means it shows no sign of bending and comes out cleanly even when the soil is stickyCurved shaft makes it much more comfortable to dig with and to lift soilRounded handle is much more comfortable on the handsI've seen that the very best tools, the ones that landscape gardeners use, have these factors even more pronounced but I still can't afford those. THis is a good compromise

Lot of thoughts have gone into the design of this spade and you gradually realise this while using it. I have used Gardena garden hose products before and am generally satisfied with their quality. This spade reinforced the good impression. The handle is a lot longer than similar spade, making it a lot easier to use (I am 5'11) and to increase leverage. The extra large eye on the top offers different options of grip and can be used for easy hanging. The upper edge of the spade head is made extra wide so it is a breeze to press down with foot, without feeling the sharp end. The whole thing is made from quality steel with a solid coating and am sure it will last a long time. Love it.
