It is the right part and equal in quality to the part it replaced after 8 years of use. However, the part isn't easy to install on some of the models it fits. On our lawn mower it connected from the brake to the exterior of the mower through a small hole. Attaching it to the brake end was as simple as sliding it into place. Attaching it to the mower's frame and through that small hole requires brute strength and more. In the end what worked was pulling it through the hole with a pair of thick shoe laces. Wire won't work easily because once the end of the coil is seated in the hole, the pulling string has to be removed. Wire caught and tugged and took another round: removing the coil and pulling again, this time with heavy duty shoe laces (it was what we had on hand!) AS for pulling it through, eye where it has to go from the underside. For us, it meant placing it over a brace to reach the hole. BUT it wasn't a straight shot to seat the end of the coil. It required twisting slightly and moving to the side a bit to line up the coil with the hole in the frame.
