To make better use of solar panels, follow these tips:

1. Fully charge the built-in lithium battery before using the solar panel for the first time.

2. Install solar panels in a location that does not experience constant shading.

3. In the northern hemisphere, panels should ideally face south, while in the southern hemisphere, panels should ideally face north.

4. Sunlight intensity varies with weather and seasons, so adjust the solar panel's orientation in real-time for maximum sunlight exposure.

5. Tilt the panel slightly to avoid leaves, water, or dust on its surface. Regularly clean the panel to remove fallen leaves, dust, and rain marks to prolong its service life.

6. If panels are installed in areas with heavy snow, extreme cold, or strong winds, take proper measures to ensure reliability and safety.

7. Avoid prolonged exposure to saltwater and do not submerge in salt or fresh water.

This replaced the same solar panel for my GardePro trail camera. The first one quit working after 3 months and this one now works great for the current few months. Would buy again.......for now.

I have two of these units, both about the same age. One panel works fine, one panel won’t charge the battery pack. Their customer service will endlessly question you on a warranty claim, I gave up trying to get the unit replaced. Cannot recommend this company or “their” products.

The first camera of theirs I bought did not come with a solar panel. Later, I saw a camera and solar panel bundle on sale. I bought it, loved it, then bought another one. You have to have the solar panel. It is worth the extra money without exception. I use rechargeable Enloop batteries in the non-solar model and get several days out of it, but if you use throwaway batteries, you'd go broke. Keep in mind that these aren't just recording video, they are also broadcasting which really drains the battery. The two cameras with the solar panels never dip below 90% battery power. To me, it was worth the extra money for the solar panel. The cameras themselves are excellent.

This gives you three options for powering you trai camera and two of them are Environmentally friendly and save money at the same time. Easy to set up . I used zip ties rather than the supplied mount because I live in an apartment,
