The fit on this jacket is solid. It's true to size and comfortable. It’s lightweight but still keeps me warm, which is great for chilly days without feeling bulky. The waterproofing seems decent so far, but the exterior material feels a little thin, almost flimsy. I’m not sure how well it’ll hold up with regular wear, especially in rougher conditions. For the price, it’s not bad, but I wouldn’t count on it as a long-term jacket.

This is a lightweight jacket that keeps you warm. It breaks the wind well and can be worn in all seasons here. Has a smooth clean front and the zipper moves smoothly and quietly on its track. Fits very well and serves its purpose

My first reaction was being a littler surprised by the material. When I think of softshell I think of something with a soft but more rigid feel, almost like neoprene. This jack on the outside felt more like an old track jacket/windbreaker. Not that this is bad, just not the look I was expecting. The jacket is comfortable. I am on the big side, XXL but only 5'7". The jacket fits well and I don't have the same problems with it being short as some of the other reviewers. I haven't tried it in the rain yet to see how well the waterproofing works.

Gary Com Men Hooded Soft shell Jacket Waterproof Lightweight Jacket Insulated Fleece Lined Zip Rain Shell Jacket (Steel Grey, XX-Large)-I am super impressed with this jacket. It's incredibly comfortable. I have not had good luck when ordering clothing online, so I was pleasantly surprised with this. The jacket is lightweight but manages to keep me warm. I attribute that to the fat that it has a soft inner layer while the thinner water-resistant outside helps to insult from wind and moisture.I got an XXL, as that's typically my size. With this jacket, I could have used 1 size larger. It runs on the shorter side, so while it fits fine in terms of the width, I like my jackets to go past my waist. I am tall though, just over 6 feet, so that does play a role with the fit. I am happy with it, but I would love it with another few inches of length. If they offered a 3X, I think that would be the perfect fit for me.The hood is great. It is removable, though I haven't used it without the hood. The hood helps a lot with the cold because it has the same inner layer as the rest of the jacket. The jacket is machine washable on cold, and they suggest washing it like colors. Lastly, I like the gray tone of the jacket. It's a dark gray and matches easily with pretty much everything. For the price point, it's a good deal.

This Gary Com softshell jacket is great for staying warm, comfortable, and dry in unpredictable weather. First of all, I have to say that I'm a huge fan of hoodies, all hoodies, and while this jacket isn't exactly a hoodie in the traditional sense, it makes me feel just as comfortable and safe as a hoodie would when wearing it. But beyond the comfort factor, this jacket is also incredibly functional. I needed a versatile jacket that could handle everything from light rain to chilly winds, and this is it. The softshell material is both water and windproof, keeping me dry and warm. The fleece lining adds an extra layer of warmth without feeling heavy. I've worn this jacket on chilly mornings, and rainy afternoons while walking the dog and it's kept me comfortable in all conditions.

There are many things I like about this jacket. It's a perfect jacket for mid range temps, say 40-60 degrees F. It's gonna keep you dry all over when you throw the hoodie over your head. However, I did not like the fit. I'm 6' and ordered an XXL size. My wife is 5'3" and wears a medium. When I tried on the jacket, the sleeves came to a point above my wrist. If I pulled down hard, I could get it to the base of my hand. Of course, it's gonna ride up from there. I had my wife try it on, and the sleeves dropped down to her thumbnail, so the jacket is not hers. The size around my waist was fine, but sleeve length was a deal breaker for me.
