This part is almost identical to stock. I had to cut a bit off one end so it would fit without buckling. It fixed my leaky cap neck. Easy to replace yourself.

I installed this on my granddaughter's Dodge Dakota. It was a perfect fit and the price was what I wanted for her. She didn't have a lot of money so I was pleased with the dollar amount and the quality as well.

I noticed that a couple of reviewer said they could have used another inch in length, I had to cut an inch off each end for a "fit". Also the connections where the hoses attach to the "cap" housing are "heat shrinked" which is a major upgrade from pressure clamps. Very impressive. I noticed some reviewers bemoaned no "spring" inside the hose and that they used the old one. I don't see their usefulness and consider them to be unneeded, plus keeps the price down. I find these parts suppliers and Amazon to be pretty impressive. The original parts lasted 22 years under all that heat and wear....impressive.

Initial quality is high. Be sure to re use the spring that is inside your factory hose as replacements don't come with them. No cutting required at all, fit is perfect.

It was the same length, but had to trim to take out a kink the original didn't have. The shape just a little different. Installed in minutes and with the trim, works great.

Ok. So for whatever reason the first one I received seemed a little too long. Mind you, I was only intimately familiar with Honda's at that point. So, I trimmed the end going to the upper radiator just a tad. Dumb mistake. Hindsight is always 20/20 and had I given thought to the shrinking it would do (just a little, but just enough) after it vulcanizes (heat up / cool down cycles) it will be just the right size. Woops. So, the first one leaked but only because I fubared it. So, I bought another and it's a Gates, it fits perfectly (so long as you dont cut at it).
