Terrible workmanship; latches have come loose, the fake stitching on the side has peeled off on the side and top and bottom in less than 10 months. One star is too much

There are more than one listing for this case, so I'm posting my review here, too.I expected this to be a little better than the Fender Pro Series Case since it's a little more expensive and brags about being "sturdy" wood construction. In reality, the Fender Pro Series case seems to be a better case, and is cheaper. This case is not sturdy, in fact if you open it you can twist the lid or base easily. Even when it's all latched up, it flexes quite a bit. Of course a little flexing is going to happen and may not even affect the protection, but the point is if you drop it, does it protect the guitar - but that's where it gets even worse.I put a standard Fender Strat in, and it slides around so much that I wouldn't even trust it for protection carrying it to the car and back. If you put the guitar in the case, shut it/latch it and then pick it up by the handle and shift it back and forth a little, when you set it down and open it the neck isn't even in the little "u" shaped recess cut into the "support" anymore. This would also allow the "lid" to come open on the compartment, possibly letting your tremolo bang around inside the case, against your paint. Great for that "relic" look if you like it, I guess. There is hardly any padding... Much like most "vintage" cases. Honestly I'm not expecting a flight case for this price and with the vintage look, but when I can buy a better case for less money I will, and I wouldn't want you to waste your money on this thing.
