First of all this is some very strong stuff. Researching it told me that it is 2.5 times stronger than your basic silicone. Used on a 200 gallon aquarium. Yeah it does smell but the smell is the strongest when you are using it. Then it is basically gone after about 1-2 days. Open windows if doing it inside and get some fans going. But to me it doesn't smell much worse than other silicones. So it just smells like silicone. It also applies like silicone. It's hard to clean up. But if you let it dry then it is easier to get off. Don't mess with it when it's wet or you will only make things worse. It's very expensive. But I am hoping that it is worth it. I am not taking any chances with that much water. It does say not to use it under water but I am convinced this is the right stuff for my aquarium. I am leaving at least 3 weeks of dry time before filling it up. It if leaks I will redo this but I doubt I will have to. It says it will be dry in 3 days and that sounds about right since that is when it stopped smelling. But to be sure I am giving it way more time. As I said it is not a very strong smell except for the first 3-4 hours. After that it is only a minimal smell. It will give you a headache. Also it is good to know that humidity HELPS this dry. So don't blow on it with fans or anything if you want it to cure faster. With any luck it will last for years. Time will tell

So far it’s holding water perfectly on my 55 gallon aquarium. Followed some helpful YouTube videos on prep before applying this sealant

Used to reseal 40 year old 125 aquarium. This works fantastic and I highly recommend.

It’s high quality great silicone, fast drying, and it resealed my recently bought 150 gallon. It worked great definitely recommend it. Make sure to give it at least two weeks before testing the tank with water.

Possibly the best adhesive/sealant I have ever used. Sure there are quicker and supposedly stronger stuff out there, but man this silicone construction stuff really bonds to almost anything even if the surface isn't clean. The curing process takes 8 hours to a day in my experience. And it holds really well, except for extremely heavy-weighted objects. Used this to re-seal aquarium seals, glue aquarium decor, fix broken closet shelves, patch up cracked wood boards on wall edges, glue fabrics together (e.g. fancy lamp tops), seal broken electrical cables. One thing it doesn't like is water. Surface area cannot be wet or moist at all ! Unless you add a lot, and move it around so the outside silicone layer takes in the water while the inside re-bonds to the surface when squished, etc.

The silicone worked.I also got a cheaper GE brand of Silicone I and the only difference that I could tell was the ease with which the silicone is administered. GE 1200 takes a bit of muscle to crank out, but you do get quite a bit and for the purpose of using it in my vivariums, it was perfect.

After reviewing a few aquarium building forum's, of this silicon adhesive being the best for this job, I was convinced and decided to order a tube of this GE SC1200 Silicone, and having had pulled apart my 55 gallon glass tank, I reassembled it, using it as the "adhesive silicon" for joining or gluing the glass panes together first. Afterward it cured I sealed tank using GE 100% Clear Silicon 1, which is water proof, does Not contain any anti-fungal agents and both are aquarium safe. Great products and I highly recommend.

Used this silicone to glue sump. This was the first project on gluing glass tank. Tank was 14 wide. 10 deep and 18 high. It's been in use about a month by now. So far so good no leaks no toxic effect on reef habitats. I would recommend this product to anyone who is going to build the tank. Before buying I did a lot of reading on reef forums about what silicone to use.this was among the top ones.
