Fit was great. Color a little off, but not enough to matter.

Bulbs buzz, are very dim (especially compared to their incandescent counter parts) and are off colour. The advertized soft white rating is not correct and the bulbs buzz when turned on. Also, there is up to a 3 second wait time before they even light up from the time the switch is thrown and an additional 2-3 seconds until they reach anything close to their "Peak" brightness (which is very dim).Do not purchase these if you have purchased any high quality CFL's in the past. These bulbs are horrible.UPDATE: After less than 2 years one bulb has already gone bad.

These bulbs take about a 1/2 second to turn on after flipping the light switch, and then take about a minute to reach full brightness. I don't mind, because in exchange, these bulbs are expected to last 9 years (and guaranteed 5 years, as noted on the packaging), and are low-wattage and super bright. The only reason I'm knocking off a star is because out of the 5 packages that I bought (yeah, I know, I was replacing 2 vanity mirrors-worth of bulbs), there was 1 package that had a dud bulb.

I bought three 3-packs of these bulbs because I really wanted "daylight" lighting for my master bath vanity. I work near a lot of windows and sometimes its just shocking how different my face looks with makeup on in different places. Yes, I bought these for my vanity...for my vanity! My vanity has eight lights, so I used eight. They all work well (no "duds"). When I flip the light, they come on immediately, though not as bright as their full brightness...but with eight of them, its still pretty bright right away! I appreciate that they do not put off heat, which makes my face sweat...counterproductive when trying to apply makeup. These lights stay cool!I'm happy with them so far and would recommend them to anyone that wants to feel a fresh dose of "morning" sunlight when they go into their bathroom in the morning!

Great product! Although like any CFL blub they do take a minute to reach full brightness but this daylight bulb is great. It provides you with true white light and does not give off that 'yellow' glow. I have these bulbs in my bathroom and it has made a huge difference since I put them in, everything looks a lot better. Even though these bulbs are more expensive then your standard light bulb they are definitely worth the price!

When I pulled the package out of the box (well packed) I was a tad worried when I saw an orange package (rated 9 year life- yeah, right....) vs. the old blue one (6 year rated life) I bought a couple years ago. Got these for the bathrooms. To me it makes a difference because the bulb's brightness/output needed to match the others. I was relieved to find that the bulbs were exact replacements for the GE's I bought last time, just an updated package. These are the "daylight" type of bulbs which puts out a brighter/whiter light. Most others look "yellowish" in comparison. Now, if you walk into the bathroom and turn on the light, you can't tell which bulb needed replacing. Although 10 dollars/bulb from Amazon seems a tad pricey for decorative bulbs, most other places were asking about $50 per package. Something to consider.

Contrary to what others have said, these lights take TOO long to turn on and TOO long to warm up. They take about 2 seconds to come on. Doesn't sound that bad, but for a light - it's FOREVER. .5-1 seconds would be tolerable, but it's just too long - it really does make you think the power is out when you hit the switch. A week later and I'm still not used to it.Also, they take a good minute or so to fully warm up. The light starts VERY dim for about 15-20 seconds and gradually works its way up. Once warm, they are very bright and nice. Also, before they get fully bright, the coiled CFL bulb inside is VERY noticeable. Finally, there is a slight buzzing sound with them on.All in all, I'd look for an INSTANT ON set in the future.

I recently bought four of these bulbs for my bathroom, to replace some others that had begun burning out. The good news is that these 11 watt bulbs are as bright, or even brighter, than the 14 watt bulbs (from a different manufacturer) that they replaced. The other good news is that there was little delay in achieving full brightness; snap on the switch and the bulbs light up the room, reaching full brightness in five to ten seconds. My previous bulbs used to light up at a fraction of their brightness and then take about 30 seconds to reach full intensity.Having just received them, I can't comment on how long they will last, but if there turns out to be a problem in that department, I'll revise this review. Now the best thing about these bulbs is the packaging. They come in that heavy, clear plastic packaging that is normally a real pain to open. Not these. The packages opened with minimal fuss and no need to resort to scissors or other tools, and no cut fingers.
