Had an issue come up with my GE fridge where it would not hold setpoint temperature. The temperature readout was consistently 10-20° higher than setpoint. Things in the top of the freezer were melting, while things in the bottom of the freezer were still frozen. After thinking on it a while, I figured it must be a fan not distributing the cold air evenly. Found this and read some reviews of others having the same symptoms. After install, fridge is back to normal. Install wasn't too difficult even for someone who knows nothing about fridges - found a decent walkthrough on youtube for a similar model.

Refrigerator went out, and a new refrigerator/freezer in our size was $2600!Went online to do a couple of diagnostics and found out it was the freezer fan that keeps sir flowing over the coils and blows cold air into the fridge side.Got the part within 24 hours, along with new filters, and installed them the next day. With the saved money I bought a new Yamaha engine for the skiff!

Product arrived quickly. Reviews here helped us be certain we needed a new evaporator fan for our GE Adora DSE25JSHECSS side-by-side refrigerator. Ice in ice bin was melting, and vegetables, etc. were freezing in bottom of refrigerator. After replacing with this evaporator fan assembly, refrigerator now runs efficiently.

Ordered this for a GE side by side refrigerator model pse26ksegees.My freezer was 48 degrees at the top and 0 at the bottom. My water dispenser had stopped working. After reading the voltage on the controller board connector J2 per a website I found, there was proper voltage to the fan. It said replace the fan. I found a website that showed how to replace an evaporator fan for what looked like my model GE refrigerator. Fairly easy to get at with about 8 screws to be removed for ice makers and covers. I double checked my model number and found ta parts catalogue online that showed it was the GE wr60x10318.I ordered this. It was here in 2 days. It took an amature like me (background in electronics assembly and testing) about 90 minutes to remove and install the new fan motor. Water started working immediately, Freezer and fridge has proper temperatures throughout the next morning. It is a perfect replacement for the evaporator fan motor I had. Delivery to the boonies where live was prompt. Wife is happy, life is happy.

Fridge died and we were in a panic. After searching the web to find the root cause of my problem. After locating the part I needed to find a vendor that would not overcharge me for the part.I found this vendor on Amazon that not only was reasonably priced, but shipped free and was delivered in 2 days. The part arrived a day early and after I installed the part the fridge was good as new.

My GE Profile Side by Side refrigerator/freezer was warm on top (ice in ice bin was melting) and freezing stuff in bottom of refrigerator. I first changed the Damper Assembly in the refrigerator since that was what was one of the recommended fixes for the symptoms of my refrigerator. That seemed to help some, but refrigerator and freezer were still not at correct temperatures. Then I noticed the Evaporator Fan in the freezer wasn't working. With the knowledge I have now and if I had it to do over again, I would change the Evaporator Fan Motor first.
