I bought a Honda 2000i Companion generator and there is no 12 volt power outlets to tie into like the Honda 2000i generator and I wanted to install an hour meter. This one tied into the 110 volt outlet and works just great and looks identical to my first Honda 2000i generator that has a 12 volt model hour meter, so they both look the same and work just as well too. This item is recommended.Update: Now about three months later, this item still working well, however, the window did fog up on the inside somewhat during a warm morning shower. Dried out and still works great, but apparently not sealed well from weather.
