An open top allows maximum light to pass through while still providing substantial protection to the level vial. Made from billet 6061 Aluminum with a Type III Hardcoat Anodization.

I bought this because I needed one in a pinch and it was cheap. When I received it and removed the 1" insert to mount it on my 30mm Vortex Razor, I thought, "maybe I should lap this?" So, I lapped the inside of the ring and was surprised by the amount of junk I removed. It fits perfectly, after the lapping, so I suggest you do the same to it if you want it to not mar up your scope.

Nice fit and finish for long range shooting. I appreciate the work it took to design a new way to hold the bubble to the scope.
