About this item

  • 1 Pair of Highly Breathable, Fast Drying Next-to-Skin Level Thermal Bottoms
  • Provides Extra Warmth and Stays Dry in Cool Weather
  • Moisture Wicking for Evaporative Cooling in Mild Climates
  • Reduced Chaffing and Increased Comfort During Movement
  • Level 2 ECWCS - Extended/Extreme Cold Weather Clothing System

The GEN III Mid-Weight Thermal Bottom provides light insulation in mild climates and serves as a base layer in cold climates. This layer provides extra warmth in cooler conditions but still wicks moisture away and dries fast. The material offers stretch for increased comfort and is lighter weight with less bulk than previous systems. Please be aware that this is sold as only 1 pair of bottoms each, not 2 or more than 2.

Primary use is for drysuit undergarment for diving. Very light weight and doesn't restrict movement or bind. So much warmer than previous official undergarments while being thinner, lighter, less restrictive and a fraction of the cost.

The year was 2002 and I was a fresh airman stationed at Eielson AFB, Alaska. Among the many pieces of cold weather gear I was issued were two pairs of these polypropylene thermal long underwear. I still have one of those pairs. They last forever. Anyways I decided to order a fresh pair as my old ones were shot out in the elastic and just old looking. These new ones are just like the ones I was issued. I was surprised at how soft they were in the inside.I'm a 32 waist, 30 leg. I ordered the small and they're a little snug in the hips and waist, but I reckon they'll stretch and break in a bit. The legs are the right length.
