I could not get the stupid oil filter housing off and this got it off no problem the filter fit good and I saved the gaskets for a rainy day no leaks happy

I can't believe how much it costs to change my oil. $55! That being said, this is a very high quality product and it worth ever cent. Draining the oil filter was perfect and easy. The wrench worked perfectly. I read that this type of wrench was breaking for so many other DIY but this worked perfectly and I have every confidence that it will last a long time.

a couple things i can tell you. yes the plastic filter housing can be very tight so look at the notches before puting the wrench on to be sure they are lined up proper then gently tap the filer wrench on to be sure its snug. if you dont do this you may break the filter wrench or worse crack the filter housing(a bit of grease on the threads and o ring of the filter housing may help with removal next time). yes my o ring for the housing plug was too large so i reused the old one which worked fine, just make sure you dont leave the old one in and put a new one on top of it and youll be fine. and yes the oil pan bolt is a little shorter than the original but it worked fine with the new washer. the filter itself is pretty nice and blows away the cheap paper element the stealership installed. over all not to bad next time i will buy a toyota element in the box but this will do for now and the wrench works fine.

I really don't know if it is actually a genuine filter, since there is absolutely no marking whatsoever.That said, the kit is very competitively priced. It included everything, even a new drain plug, and a crush washer! The dealership didn't put a crush washer during the last oil change and simply tightened the drain bolt like crazy.I am very happy with this kit. I won't reorder it because I no longer need the tool to remove the filter, but I recommend it if you want to get started doing your oil changes on a 2018 RAV4 or similar vehicle.

I cranked on this thing for a while with a 3/8" ratchet before pulling out the breaker bar. I would advise against using the 3/8" square if the dealership has overtightened the oil cap. Opt instead to use the hex, I believe it is a 27mm. Giving it 3 stars as I am sure it would have worked just fine had the cap not been so tight. It is only meant to be tightened to 25 N/m and this wrench, I am sure, would have removed it easily had it been tightened to that torque.
