Easy to maneuver in and lightweight! Overall a great investment. Luckily I haven’t had to use them yet but hope they do work as expected.

I had bought these to protect my injured knee while mountain biking. I had an open wound from a dirt-bike injury and even though I had wrapped my leg up well I wanted a little more extra protection, and these knee guards fit the bill. Sure enough, while riding into and corner I washed out the front tire and landed right on the injured area of my leg without incident. The field testing was complete! They are not that heavy, and I do like the polymorphic type padding. The sizing was correct for my legs. The only issue which is probably true for most knee protectors was they get hot in 70 to 90 degree weather. Nice, though, when it cooler. I do recommend this product. I will be using them when I'm able to dirt-bike again.

El material es de muy buena calidad, tiene mucha comodidad que casi no las sientes.Lo único es que escojas la medida más grande por qué viene algo reducida.

I originally bought the pro-X2 knee pads but those were to thin material and didn't stay up on my kness. I bought these pro-rugged and love them. The material is more sturdy and they definitely stay up. Pretty comfortable overall. I've taken two really good diggers so far and these saved my bacon big time. Very happy overall. Only issue is when doing a lot of seated cycling like pulling long uphills they bind up behind the knees. I wish they had cutouts for that. Used the size chart and they were spot on.

I first ordered a medium based on the sizing chart. They were definitely to small. I ordered the large. They were sung, but better than the mediums. I rode for 2 hours- the back of my knees were killing me after 1 hour. The material bunches up in the back. It feels like a knot every pedal stroke. I do a lot of cross country riding- these may not be the best for long rides. The quality is amazing. I think o round cut out in the back would help with it bunching up. Wish they would have worked for me.

Pros:* Doesn't have a hard shell that is on the more expensive model, but you trade it for the flexibility* No Velcro strap that will eventually wear out* Allows for a bearable level of moisture and heat dissipationCons:* Can get really tightI bought these with the elbow pads and they are both great.

Impressed with the quality of these pads. I've been wearing them several times a week since Sept '21, and they are surprisingly all instact. My primary use is for BMX - street riding and some park, a little bit of dirt. I'm not a fan of hard-capped knee pads, so these seems like a great solution. In the past, I've used the regular model G-form keen pads for MTB trail riding, so I trust they will do their job when hard impacts occur.I've had numerous spills with these on, and protect very well. I found a size guide on the G-Form site, and followed it's calculations and went with XL. My legs are larger than average so, fit was great.Stitching has held up great, no frays or stray threads threatening to undo the entire sleeve. There's a rubberized surface on the top inside of the pads to help keep them in place. That system works well. There's also an adjustable strap on the tops as well, also work as expected.Recently I took a decent spill on cement bank. Medium impact to the knee, but I ended up sliding 3 or 4 feet too - not something really great for a soft kneepad. The pad suffered a bit of scraping wear, but nothing crumbled apart or became loose or otherwise compromised. I wouldn't want to fall that way all the time on them, but know that if you do, it won't ruin the pads. Can't say enough good about them really. They feel robust when you get them, especially compared to the non-rugged versions. They have worn great over the last 7 or 8 months, if they gave up the ghost somehow tomorrow, I'd have no problem replacing them with the same product.

Over the years, I've owned 3 pair of the original Pro-X, one pair of Pro-X2 and now these Pro-Rugged kneepads.I'm a Colorado Frontrange based mountain biker, and go between chill afternoon rides with friends to more aggressive back country multi-hour adventures (@iRideDumb, if you're into that type of thing)...I continue choosing the G-Form kneepads, because I choose to ALWAYS trail ride with kneepads, and the G-Form pads have been comfortable enough and stay in place, so that I barely notice them on my rides. The original Pro-X seemed to fit small. I choose the XL in order to retain feeling in my legs... They didn't slip, they didn't stretch, and for me they held up really well. The Pro-X2 seemed to fit larger than the Pro-X. I did one ride with a pair of XL, and while the coverage was better, they slipped down and just didn't fit right for me.Now to the Pro-Rugged... I ordered size L because of my experience with the Pro-X2, and because these have an adjustable strap at the top.Sizing-wise, this was the right choice for me! They fit well on my legs, and the strap helps keep 'em in place. The padding section on the front of the knee is wider and stiffer than the Pro-X... which makes it flare out a little wider than my knee, vs confirming around my knee like the older versions. After 4 rides, they have started loosening up, and I think this will conform more to my leg as they continue to break-in.Heat-wise, these are slightly warmer in that padding section then the originals. The back of the knee is a mesh fabric, which is lighter than the original, and more breathable... so long hot days, you'll notice 'em more, but only just.Weight/bulk-wise, these are a little heavier/bulkier than the original... but not super noticeable once you have them on.All in all, these are a great upgrade from the original Pro-X and Pro-X2. They provide better coverage over the knee, and remain comfortable enough to keep them on the entire time during long warm rides!
