I use GI-21 bottled ink for printing graphics and colorful illustrations, and it’s been amazing. The colors come out bright and vibrant, which is essential for my work. These arrived in a well packaged manor, with these bottles being vacuum sealed and in a box. The vacuum seal was easy to remove and it was easy to open the bottles of ink. These bottles did not leak at all, not even when tipped or turned upside down! These were the exact replacement ink I needed for one of many printers I own. The ink quality is excellent and very pigmented, I see no break or streaks or issues with printing quality. The ink lasts a long time, and this makes the quantity of these replacement ink bottles very favorable to me! I was able to refill my black ink and still have ink left over in my refill bottle after! Making this 2 bottle replacement something that will last me for at least 9 months with the volume of things I print from this printer!

After many years of service our older Pixma died. The new tank-style printers offer considerable more printing capacity than the older cartridge style printers, so we replaced with one. Our new Megatank printer is still on it's first load of ink and has a long way to go before needing refilling, but we aren't waiting for the inevitable dry run. As the old Boy Scout adage states, "Be prepared." We also know the value of comparison shopping. At $21, these Toaiepo GI-21 refill bottles are a bargain compared to the branded option of about $56. The bottles are shipped in shrink-sealed bags to maintain freshness. The kit includes the 135 ML black bottle and the cyan, yellow and magenta are all 80 MLs each. The Amazon page describes that the black ink is "pigment" ink while the colors are "dye" inks and also describes "just like the OEM ink." We are not aware of the difference and do not know what, if any, the difference makes. Just the same, it is interesting to know that these refills follow the OEM plan. Perhaps there is a difference based on the media upon which you are printing. We plan no other printing than on paper or the occasional photo paper. So far, the OEM ink is just fine, so the OEM-style replacement should also work just fine.

Color quality is good. The price of it is great. Haven’t had any issues so far and I’ve been using it in my printer since July.

First of all, the colors are quite pronounced and really do pop when printed onto white paper!The downside is that they aren't balanced properly, so printing something in 100% grayscale with 0% color saturation (i.e. the document is sending an image to the printer in 100% grey tones) all of my prints since putting in this ink are now tinted slightly blue: the cyan is just a bit too strong compared to the other colors that all neutral tones end up being tinted cyan.IMAGE: Original grayscale print with original inks on RIGHT, same image but printed with these inks and now cyan-tinted on LEFT.If more precise color matching isn't extremely important to you, you can't go wrong with these inks at this price!
