I have bought two of these recently. They are both too tight fitting and scratched one of my extension racks. Very hard to insert and remove the pipe in them.

Did exactly what I needed it to do. Gibraltar is expensive but it's always top quality!

This product is ok for some uses but it is not recommended for weight bearing structural construction. I used it on a cage assembly and have had no issues with it but I do not use it where it has to support any heavy cymbals.

This clamp is NOT rated for horizontal use, only vertical applications are recommended. Gibraltar does not make much mention of this in their printed literature, that's the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars, functionally it works fine for it's intended purpose which is extending drum rack tubes "upwards".Gibraltar quality is the best.Good luck and good music to all.
