I used this clamp to mount my 12" tom off of my 16" bass drum. it works well. I had to put some gaff tape under one side to make it tighten up enough for my purposes on Pearl rims, but I think for other things like a cowbell it would be fine.I've played two gigs with it holding the tom and it's been perfect. It hasn't drooped or fallen once on the gig. It will fit a wide variety of posts. I have tried it with everything from 9.5mm through 12.7mm and it's held tight. This clamp worked great for my purposes, it might work for you too.

Lo uso para un tom de aire de diez pulgadas, me ha ahorrado el hacerle a un tom de piso un hoyo para poner el tom de aire, lo uso con una agarradera al atril de platillo y listo, me he evitado de cargar más hardware innecesario.

I like the way it looks like a bug or something, tastes like metal...

This is a great auxiliary clamp. I use it on my floor tom to hold a cowbell, and it is super sturdy. Best part is that it is small enough to leave on my floor tom and still fit in the case.

This item makes it so you don't have to drill into your drum shell. For example, making a hanging drum into a floor tom, etc. Great!

Super handy accessory! Ronn Dunnett is a master drum builder (I am privileged to own two of his snare drums that he customized for me) and now he has turned his attention to making great accessories for the rest of the kit. I have used these hoop clamps to mount drums with an L-arm, used three of them to turn a rack tom into a floor tom, and used them to mount triggers to my kit. There are probably a thousand uses I haven't thought of yet!

I guess these are threaded to act as a "quick" release and I tried to use these to put floor tom legs on a 13"tom.I even made sure that I had the correct size for the type of floor tom legs i have. I just could not get these to grip the floor tom legs tight enough to hold the drum up. i would tighten them up and then it would still be loose. then i would tighten them up more and it got even looser. The other thing is these might be great for a set up that does not move but I could have 3-4 shows a week in different venues. tracking down a drum key every time i want to tardown/set up is a pain. they should have a wing nut on one side for quicker use.
