I love this retractable hose. Traditional hoses are heavy, messy, and a hassle to move around—but this completely solves all of that. It’s neat, easy to use, and looks great in the yard. There’s definitely a premium for the convenience, and I’m still unsure about long-term maintenance, but it’s already made lawn care much more enjoyable. I’m really glad I added this to my setup.

Love this hose reel. I used to dread yard work because I have plants/ flowers all over my back yard and it was such a pain having to lug the hose all around and then fight with pulling it back in and wrapping it up once I was done. This is soooo much easier. You just pull it out to the length you want, give it a little tug to make it stay, then give it another little tug when you want it to reel back in. I will say, it goes fast when it reels back in so be careful with that or the hose may whack you in the leg (found this out the hard way). I knocked a star off only because the hose cannot be changed out. But that’s a minor detail and not a deal breaker. I also love that I didn’t have to drill holes into my house or fence post. It was super easy to install, just set it on the ground where you want it and hammer in the 4 spikes. I can now enjoy tending to my plants and flowers again.

This is so great. Keeps your hose nice and cleaned up. The container is very nice and really the whole thing is easy to use and a nice product. Doesn’t take up too much space and looks nicer than a hose everywhere.

This is a very sleek-looking retractable garden hose. I like that it comes with stakes to keep it stable, which also helps deter theft. I placed mine in a rocky area and had to move some rocks around to find soil for the stakes, but they hold well once in.The hose reel rotates, making it easier to maneuver around the yard, and the casing feels solid and well-built.My only concern is the hose itself—it feels a bit flimsy, kinks and I’m unsure how well it will hold up over time.Overall, it's great having a 130-foot hose that lets me reach every part of my lawn with ease.

I already have a hose spool, but it's the kind with a handle that you have to manually crank to wind up to hose. The auto-retracting feature alone is so terribly convenient that I already like this one better. It's got a good length to the hose and it retracts so powerfully that it's a bit frightening to be near it. I retracted most of the length of the hose, which caused the stopper at the end to hit the case so hard the whole thing flipped around. I'm not sure if the spikes will make much of a difference in my soil, but I'll have to give it a try. The handle on top of the case is nice to have, making it easy to transport. It only comes with maybe around five feet of hose to connect the case to the faucet, but that's pretty typical I think. There is a removable panel on the front so you can open it up to see what's happening in there and, I suppose, to fix things if something goes wrong. That panel is a bit ill-fitting, but it's not bad and only comes up if you actually remove the panel. I did, but didn't need to. I found it easier to get it back on if I lined up the bottom, then sort of bent it slightly (or compressed it, I guess) to get the top little tabs inserted. Then I press on the middle to get the sides seated in place. For my first attempt, I seated the bottom, then pressed against the top without compressing or slightly folding it -- which resulted in one of the tabs sort of gouging the top a bit. As far as I can tell, it doesn't leak, but my faucet does so that might obscure any leaking in this thing. As far as I can tell, it's just a functional, easy to install, well-built hose winding reel. I'm glad to have it.

Perfect for our Florida home to rinse beach sand and dirty away before it gets tracked into the house - with plenty of hose to use in washing the deck, etc.

This 100 foot water hose reel from Giraffe Tools is well constructed and handles the full length of hose without any issue, but it is heavy even before you fill the hose with water. The retracting mechanism feels smooth and solid, very similar to the kind used on high-quality air hose reels, and it pulls the hose back in evenly without whipping or bunching. Once the hose is loaded with water, though, the weight adds up fast, so you need to be thoughtful about where and how you mount it. I highly recommend bolting it into a solid surface with nuts and bolts rather than relying on wood screws, especially if you are installing it on a shed or fence.Despite the weight, it performs well and feels like it is built to last. The hose itself is sturdy and flexible, and the reel does a good job keeping everything organized and out of the way. If you are looking for a long-term hose management solution and are willing to deal with a little extra installation effort, this setup delivers a clean and reliable watering experience. Just be prepared for the heft and mount it right the first time.

I received the Giraffe Tools 100FT Water Hose Reel recently, and it’s made watering the yard a much more pleasant task. The auto-retraction mechanism keeps the hose neatly stored, so I’m no longer tripping over tangled messes or wrestling with kinks. The hose pulls out smoothly and locks at any length, which is handy when I’m watering the shrubs along the fence line. Reeling it back in is as simple as a gentle tug, and it retracts evenly into the casing.One thing I’ve noticed is that the hose diameter is slightly smaller than some competitors, but it still provides good water pressure for my needs. Some shoppers might prefer a thicker hose for heavy-duty jobs, but for regular garden and lawn care, this one does the trick. The installation took a bit of patience, but once set up, it’s been reliable and leak-free.
