I needed to drill a couple of small holes in a porcelain tile back splash I had installed and my wife wanted to try to build some lamps so she asked me if I could put some holes in glass bottles. I've never drilled through these materials before so I had some doubts about how easy it would be. I decided to experiment on a scrap piece of tile and an old wine bottle. I heard that using a piece of painter’s tape could help get a hole started. I was surprised at how easy it was to drill a hole in the bottle. The tile took a little longer but still it was not difficult. I just used an electric hand drill.

The Farhigh Glass and Tile Drill Bits set is a fantastic choice for anyone needing precise and clean holes in hard materials. The tungsten and titanium carbide tips make drilling through glass, ceramic, porcelain, and even brick much easier than standard bits. The bits maintain their sharpness well, and they don’t overheat quickly, which is crucial for delicate surfaces. They work smoothly with minimal chipping, especially when used with water for cooling. The 1/4-inch size is versatile for various projects, and the set provides a great value with eight pieces included. These drill bits have made DIY projects much easier, and they perform well compared to more expensive brands. Highly recommended for anyone working with glass, tile, or similar materials!

I recently purchased the Farhigh Glass and Tile Drill Bits 10Pcs Set, and overall, my experience has been mixed. The bits are advertised as professional-grade, capable of smoothly drilling through materials like glass, ceramic, tile, and brick. While they do function, they require patience, especially on tougher surfaces. The tungsten and titanium carbide tips provide durability, but I noticed that the bits dulled faster than expected. For small projects, they might do the job, but if you're working on a larger project, you may find yourself going through multiple bits quickly. Additionally, while they fit standard drill chucks, getting a precise start on slick surfaces can be tricky—even with tape to stabilize. If you need an affordable set for occasional use, these may work. However, for frequent or heavy-duty projects, I’d consider a higher-end alternative.

Did not work very well for me, the bits mostly dulled or broke before a single hole was made. I cant imagine how many I would need to do a large project - as is I used just about all I received to make 12 holes.... Not happy with quality.

Drill bits came on time and worked perfectly for my tile project. Drilled the holes I needed for some grab bars very quickly. Great tool to have on hand.

My review of the Glass and Tile Drill Bits 10Pcs Set, 1/4" Tungsten & Ti Carbide Tipped Drill Bit for Drilling Holes in Glass, Ceramic, Porclain, Tile, Brick, Wood and WallI used one of these bits to drill a hole in a ceramic wall tile and it worked perfectly. Went right through the tile with no problems at all. The tile was set in cement so the drill bit had to penetrate that also and the backer board . This is a very good set of bits for the price. I would recommend them.

These bits work really well. It takes some patience to drill through tile but these make short work of it. I like that it comes with a case to hold them but it's a little bit large so the bits move around inside. They fit the standard 3/8 inch chuck on the drill and have a triangular shape to the shaft base so they won't spin inside the chuck. I don't know how long each bit will last, I guess it depends on the material being drilled, but I think these will be able to be used for quite a while. I agree with another reviewer in that it would've been nice to have different sizes in the kit rather than just the single size of a quarter inch. I would recommend this item.

I have quite a few sets of carbide tipped glass and tile bits because I use them all the time and as such, you can go through them fast. This set, the "Farhigh Glass and Tile Drill Bits 10Pcs Set, 1/4"; Tungsten & Carbide Tipped Drill Bit for Drilling Holes in Glass, Ceramic, Porclain, Tile, Brick, Wood and Wall (10)" isn't the best set for my needs. I currently have two other sets in my toolbox right this moment and these are the last ones I will grab. They are so dull. You might not think that a sharp point matters because they are carbide tipped, but I don't want to spend more time than I need to drilling through whatever. All of my other carbide tipped bits are so much sharper (my Bosch are the sharpest of the bunch I have) and they make short work of whatever I need to get through. These take twice as long, maybe more. I know I sat there for what seemed like forever trying to get through a standard ceramic tile. A sharp point can also help you get your bit started a bit easier. Even with tape, these seemed to wander a bit before I got it to dig in and grab hold. While I don't have any brick to use these on anytime soon, I feel like they would do much better with a coarser material such as brick rather than a fine smooth surface such as glass or smooth ceramic where a sharp tip can help speed things up for you. So for my purposes (mainly glass and smooth tile), they aren't great, but I'm giving them what I would call an average rating at 3 stars because if your needs are different than mine you might find them to be just fine for your application.
