This adapter claims support for 22110 NVMe drives, and while it does accommodate their physical length, it falls short in a critical area: power delivery.The adapter is powered entirely through the PCIe slot, which, for an x8 interface, is limited to 25 watts total. That includes power for all M.2 devices, onboard components, and any voltage regulation. While this might be sufficient for low-power consumer drives, it’s entirely inadequate for multiple enterprise-class 22110 SSDs. Drives like the Micron 7450 or Intel P4510 can each draw up to 8–10W under heavy load. Trying to run four such drives, as this board physically allows, easily exceed the available power budget and cause drive brownouts.In my testing, four enterprise drives inserted into the adapter would power on just enough to get warm, but consistently failed to enumerate or caused PCIe link errors. The same drives worked perfectly in proper server backplanes or higher-end adapters with auxiliary power.It’s confusing that this adapter is marketed with 22110 support when it lacks any external power input or power conditioning suitable for high-performance enterprise drives. It may work for consumer-grade SSDs, but for anyone using full-size enterprise hardware, this adapter simply isn’t up to the task.Would not recommend for workstation use where power stability and compatibility are critical, as it will fail to deliver. If running 2280 drives and below, it will probably work fine.

何の設定もせずに普通に4枚認識しました。少し苦労するかな?と思ったけど良い意味で拍子抜け。7GB/sクラスのNVME全て正常動作し、個別認識、ソフトRAIDもOK。PCIE4x8で繋がっているx16形状のスロットで使っていますが、ベンチ速度は3GB/s程度しか出ません。実速度は1.3GB/sは出ていますし、体感的に遅いと感じることはありませんでした。

Marche bien pendant quelques jours mais se révèle peu fiable après. Les nvme ne sont plus visible ou alors des erreurs I/O Controller apparaissent.J'ai eu le même souci avec le GLOTRENDS sans bifurcation aussi. Je suppose qu'il s'agit d'un souci de composant qui ne supporte pas la charge/température engendrée par autant de disques.Dommage :(

DO NOT BUY THIS! This is a faulty defective product. Similar to the fake USBs you get that lie about their size and you only notice when they fill up to early. Very dissapointed in Amazon that they do not check this seller. This product seems to work upon initial installation and then gives increasing I/O errors until it fails to load any SSD plugged into it. All those looking to add M2 SSDs via PCIE expansion card, go with a reputable manufacturer like SuperMicro.

I had scored some NVMe Drives to add to a pc that I often use for gaming at a nice discount, so I was looking to add them to my motherboard. My motherboard, ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero X570 ATX Motherboard, looked as if it would support PCIe Bifurcation, well I was wrong. I tried the GLOTRENDS Quad M.2 PCIe NVMe Adapter Without PCIe Splitter Function and no matter what I did it did not work. After spending hours, I decided to change the adapter.Using this product, GLOTRENDS Quad M.2 PCIe 3.0 X8 NVMe Adapter Card with ASM 2824 PCIe Bifurcation Function, solved the issue. It was super easy to install. I added the NVMe drives to the adapter, with those tiresome little screws. I had already added heatsinks to the the drives, I used GLOTRENDS M.2 Heatsink with M.2 Thermal Pad sold here on Amazon. I then installed the adapter with the drives into the second PCI slot below the video card, closed up the case and started it up. When windows came up, the one drive that I had already formatted showed up with the list of my drives. Then I went into "create and format hard disk partitions" within windows, 11 in my case. Created the partition and formatted the drives. Everything works great.Now I haven't tested this, but I am assuming that the NVMe speed should be pretty close to what was advertised when I bought these, as long as I only use one drive at a time, which is what most users would do anyway. If this is not the case, I will come back and add a comment.One other note, you do need to buy those little NVMe screws separately, they are not provided. I had bought a bag of pc screws that included these in the past, so I was covered.Yes, this is pricey but it is a solution for adding three or four speedy NVMe drives to your system if you already have NVMe slots filled. Highly recommended.

Worked great in my atx case by MSI. Fitment was perfect into the slot. Just have to mess with bios settings to get it to recognize what's going on, but that's simple enough and there are videos out the wazoo about it.Hardware felt solid and I've had no issues with it so far. Everything is only going to be as fast as your board lets it be, so keep that in mind also.Recommended as long as you are comfortable with messing with bios.
