This light is fantastic and the app works perfectly too. I haven’t used the remote but I never feel the need to as the app (free) works great. The light is pretty bright and I never need it on more than 60%. I use it for talking head shots allowing me to stay at a low ISO inside and get crisply clean shotz

Arrived safely, well packed. Works well so far. Replacing a Dracast 600 that crapped out after 4 uses, now out of warranty, not worth the expense to repair, total waste of money. This light is working nicely with no hiccups. Completely satisfied with the build quality, brightness, adjustability and accessories that came with the light. Easy set up, runs quietly, remote is a convenient feature. Based upon performance so far, I would recommend this light. Good value.

I finally pulled the trigger on a proper light for my home YouTube studio.I have decent daylight in my office, but I've wanted to get a controllable light for a year now. Glad I finally did. This thing is perfect for my office - roughly 10x20ft so it's a decent size. It comes with some colored screens that are awesome. I bounced it off the walls and ceiling when I first unboxed it, and that would work quite fine.I did, however, opt for a soft box (pictured) to add on to it. And it's pretty sweet if you can swing that addition. The included remote is clutch. Very handy to make adjustments without having to get up.Perfect beginner light for this beginner.

There’s a lot to like about the Godox SL60II Bi. That should come as no surprise, as the older Godox SL60W has been one of the most popular lights in its class, particularly among video creators, but also with many photographers. And the more recently released SL60IID has proven a worthy replacement for the SL60W. But both models are limited to producing daylight color temperature. That usually works fine in my home studio. But sometimes I need to alter the color temperature for artistic purposes, or to combine with other light sources that are not at or near 5600K. That’s the first place the SL60II Bi shines, so to speak. With the ability to adjust the color temperature from 2800 to 6500K, the SL60II Bi becomes a team player! For even more color possibilities, the package included 6 diffuser/gels that slip on over the front of the reflector. Five are colored, while the 6th is white.Godox has also provided a slightly higher output capability compared to either of the other models. That’s based on the comparative output at 5600K and without the supplied reflector mounted. Add the newly designed reflector to either the SL60IID or the SL60II Bi and the on-axis brightness is pretty dramatically increased over the older SL60W, with its reflector. I say “on axis” because the new reflector creates a hot spot in the center of the projected light pattern. While that is not ideal, I hardly ever use the reflector, and the Bowens mount allows the user to choose, instead, from a wide assortment of Bowens-mount light modifiers, from octaboxes, rectangular softboxes, beauty dishes and strip boxes to snoots. I also like to use an umbrella, at times, but none of these SL60 models provides a receptacle for an umbrella shaft to slide through the swivel mount. That would be one of my few complaints. The original SL60W received complaints from some video creators about the SPL of the internal fan. I understand that. While it is not always an issue, depending upon the miking technique and the distance from the fan to the microphone, the improved, lower-noise fan in the SL60II Bi is very welcome. In my tests so far, I have not been able to hear the fan noise in my audio track for typical talking-head or interview scenarios, whether using a lav or a nearby cardioid or hypercardioid mic.In addition to the full range of available color temperatures, I’m loving the new SL60II Bi for all the reasons I liked its predecessors. Already mentioned are the Bowens mount and the lower fan noise, but there’s more. First off, it’s very affordable. But it also features top rate build quality and durability, a small form factor and easy portability. On that subject, this is an AC only system, not battery operable. On the plus side, it comes with a very long, heavy-duty AC cord that plugs directly into the back of the light, using a standard IEC connector. I much prefer this to the inline “brick” power supplies that can be a pain to deal with, especially when the stand is raised quite high and the brick can’t set on the floor. The lack of battery power and the low cost may explain the absence of a carrying/storage case or bag. A soft bag with some molded foam inside would be very welcome. The integral swivel mount, like that on the earlier models, is rugged as heck, and locks solidly in place, even with a big light modifier hanging off the front of it.There are now eleven effects available, with some being much more convincing with the color temperature changes included in them than they were in a daylight-only light.Control of the SL60II Bi is easily accomplished via any of three methods: the simple rear panel controls, a small RC-A6 2.4GHz remote or by a versatile, downloadable Godox app for your phone. The app and the RC-A6 remote offer an easy way to control multiple Godox COB lights, either in groups or individually. And there are certainly plenty of groups and channels from which to choose. There are 16 groups and 32 channels! Plus, you can set an ID number, from 1-99, to further ensure that you will avoid interference from other RF sources in the area. When using the rear panel controls, intensity is fully adjustable from 0-100% in 1% increments, while still giving the ability to spin the control for quickly increasing or decreasing the output. Not to be ignored, the color accuracy leaves nothing to be desired, with a CRI of 96 and a TLCI of 97!The SL60II Bi is a solid performer, a great choice for both beginner and seasoned video producer. The additions and improvements over both the older SL60W and the recent SL60D ensure this Godox instrument will continue to make it a favorite of many of my fellow photographers and videographers.

This product came with a power cord, the Godox SL 60 ii D light, and the reflector. The reflector seems very well furbished, with a nice silver lining inside. The Godox light itself is not too heavy, and it comes in a decently compact size, meaning that it is easy to carry around and relatively portable. This Godox light gives 60 Watt lighting, and it comes with different colored light modifiers that you can use. Another neat feature is that there is a bluetooth connection available. So I can control the Godox light with smartphone when I connect it via bluetooth. There are also 8 different visual effects available, so I can choose the correct effect to utilize depending on what I believe would look the most aesthetically pleasing.I can also adjust the brightness from a dimness of 0 to a brightness of 100.All in all, this is a satisfying product. I would recommend it.
