They are nice and bright, but one leaked and about half of the leds in the housing went out.

It was so satisfying to work with the solid metal housing for these lights! The old ones were plastic and exposed to damage. These LED lights are almost entirely surrounded by metal. My 4' x 5' trailer is probably a bit small for these lights, but with some modifications, they work great! One suggestion for a more reliable installation is to get rubber grommets for the holes where the wires go through. The hole is 3/4", grommets should be less than a dollar at a local hardware store. These do not come with drain holes, so would need some modifications to work on a boat trailer. The lights modules appear to be sealed. So, they will probably be fine to submerge briefly.

These are standard-sized lights for small trailers and they'll fit any bracket for the square lights.Easy to install and they look like they'll last for many years.Very bright, but I like that for safety so other drivers will notice my trailer.

Very sturdy lights and properly sealed with grommets. I think these are very weather proof lights and they light up brilliantly. The recommended mounting method is to weld them onto the vehicle, but I don't weld, so I drilled and bolted them to my utility trailer. The wiring took a minute to figure out, as I was confused by the running lights, but I got it after a bit of trial and error. I'm very happy with these and think they will last a long time!

Most surprising thing about these lights compared to all the trailer lights that I've reviewed lately is that the bolts actually match the holes in my 30 year old trailer from my previous lights. I'm actually having to replace the lights because my dogs literally *ate* them and the wiring. This made the installation of the rear lights very quick. My trailer did not originally have side marker lights on it, but since the dogs ate the wiring also, I figured I might as well add them since this kit comes with them. There are channels that they molded into the back of the housing so that you can route the wiring to the side or the top without flattening the wires between the back of the housing and whatever you are mounting them onto. When I removed what was left of the previous lights, I could see where the wire was flattened from being crushed between the housing and the bracket on the trailer where it was mounted. It had a channel, but the manufacturer was not very diligent in ensuring the wires stayed in the channel when they tightened the nuts. One thing that I have to laugh about though (since it was such a poor decision) is the fact that in the trailer wiring diagram, *someone* though it would be a good idea to put yellow text on a gray background. It's completely unreadable, even with a magnifying glass. Luckily, that same diagram is in the Amazon ad without the idiot color choices.Another thing that they did that I don't agree with is that they decided to design the wiring so that everything relied on the trailer being at vehicle ground instead of running a separate ground wire to all the lights. A lot of wiring problems can be traced to improper chassis grounds, so it's usually a better idea to run a separate ground wire. That's easy enough to fix with a bit of spare wire though.POWER MEASUREMENTS:These were tested with a 40A 12V power supply that was generating 11.98VDC.Left rear light:Contains license plate light which is on the same circuit as the left running light.Running light: 133mAStop light: 0.36ARight rear light:Running light: 98.9mAStop light: 0.36AMarker light:75.3 mA each (there are 2)SUMMARY:All in all, I think it is worth a 3.5-star (i.e. "slightly above average") rating. The kit is very complete and the potted LEDs should be relatively waterproof. If it had utilized a complete ground circuit and also provided the ring terminals for someone wanting to use a chassis ground, I would have bumped it up to a 4-star rating.STAR RATING SCALE:1 -- Poor product; Waste of money at ANY price; Blatant lies in the original listing.2 -- Below average product; Something about it is a bit lacking; It could be conflicted specifications or errors in the original listing or that it was arrived with damage that was unlikely to have occurred during shipping and should have been caught in either the manufacturer's or seller's quality control.3 -- Average product; Meets expectations, perfectly serviceable, but does not do anything that sets it apart from similar products; Does not have some features that makes me say, "Wow, that's a neat feature".4 -- Above average product; Something about it sets it a bit above similar products on the market.5 -- Excellent product (or perhaps customer service); There is NO room for improvement whatsoever; NOTHING is perfect, so this rating *should* be EXTREMELY difficult to achieve.Ordered:2024-01-11Received:2024-01-16Reviewed:2024-01-18

I replaced the smaller original lights on my enclosed trailer with these. The fully assembled LEDs are a much better light in every detail. They are bigger, brighter and much more durable than the original incandescent bulbs and fixtures.Installation is simple for anyone familiar with 12v DC. Since my trailer did not have a reverse light originally, I had to run one extra wire to each light. The lenses are a very durable PVC plastic and "protected" by a thin steel cage. Truth is, the squares of the cage are 1" and such a light steel wire they offer no realistic protection and are more cosmetic than anything else. The lights are non serviceable and intended to be completely changed out at the end of service life. With a typically long service life expected, the whole component, end of service life is becoming pretty much the standard for items like this. For the amount of improved visibility, extended life span, ease of installation and reasonable price, these LED tail light assemblies offer a great value and easy upgrade for your trailer or truck. I suggest trying them out.

Someone kept breaking my trailer lights off by accident so I decided to move them up higher to maybe protect them more. These seemed to fit the needs. Was not easy to install by my thinking or situation but every mounting would be different. I basically mounted them on top of the old tail light brackets and used the existing wiring. The wiring is straight forward and the directions helped identify the wires needed. The Hardest part for me was pulling the lights apart so I could get to the inside of the box to attach the nuts and bolts. Then when I was putting them back together you can see that on one of the lights I pushed it in a little to far (but not a hard fix). This is still a Five Star product but wanted to make people aware that you can push them in to far by accident. They work great now
