I wanted to love this. Getting it connected and mounted was easy, because the headlight plugs right into the stock Templar X 250, and it bolted up like it was made for this motorcycle, without the need for straps. The only wiring you need is for the DRLs/turn signals, which I decided to use as running lights. The Templar X 250 lets you have headlight off, low beam headlight on, or high beam headlight on. You can put the white and black wires through the rubber grommet, and then at the bulb connector, connect the white to white and the black to green if you'd like these on with your low beams. Black goes to blue if you want these to work on high beam. They will be off when the headlight is switched off, or if you toggle to the alternate beam mode.Once I noticed the headlight could not be aimed, the only solution was to use the farther/secondary bolt holes on the upper housing which tilted the entire housing down and thus aimed the beam downward. I'm hoping it is at a usable level now, but the lack of an adjustment screw for the light is bonkers. I bought ANZO halo ring headlights for my truck and they _also_ don't let you adjust the beam angle. I don't understand why anyone is making headlights for ANY vehicle without having the ability to adjust. Unlike the Anzos, at least this was cheap. There's now a big gap between the headlight and the forks. The bright side of this is that the Templar's collection of wiring and connectors now has some breathing room and doesn't require being shoved together when attaching the headlight. I can get my key in and out of the ignition with ease, as well. While it is no longer cramped in there, the wiring is now on display, and I'll be more inclined to find a way to tidy up the mess.Lastly, and this is something that applies to ANY aftermarket headlight assembly you buy, but the bulbs they come with are not going to be great, so I did of course substitute my own LEDs into this. This includes of course the main bulb, but there's also a tiny weird DRL built in here, like on the Hawk headlight. That one doesn't do much illumination so you might skip replacing it anyway.I do at least love that the DRLs or turn signals are visible from the sides of the motorcycle. With me using them as DRLs, my hope is I'm more noticeable in general, but if my headlight bulb ever burns out then it is good to still have some illumination in the front so I can remain visible as I get myself home.

It looks like I bought it used, scratches all over it. Big knick at the top. But I hooked it up to a CSC TT 250. The mounting screws for that didn't worked out, due to the light being pointed towards the tree tops. So I used the rubber straps on the bottom and zip ties at the top. Not exactly pretty. But it works. Also wired it up to use the signals with the high beams. I did it wrong so I won't explain.

I was looking for a way to make my Hawk 250 DLX look different and I found several. However, nothing changes the look of the bike more than the headlight assembly! I added a windshield on mine but it also looked great without it! I modified the clear white lights to be always on running lights and couldn't be happier about it. This made my Hawk look so unique that I almost hate the share this as others may soon follow suit :)
