When you buy this, you also get a new usb cable, usb to usb C. I didn't know that. It's an original GoPro accessory and it works. What I like about the Mini is that when you plug in the mic adapter, and you don't have a mic attached, the outlside mics on the GoPro still work. They don't cut off just because you plug in the mic adapter. Now when you plug in a mic, the GoPro outside mics are cut off so it will use the mic you have plugged in. Works great holding the mic C plug in without it moving and damaging the unit. It had some insulation on the inside to protect the camera as well. Great option.
