We have had horses and dogs all my life and hve always had auto dispensers. I feel this one is poorly designed, the water comes out an almost pin sized hole and sprays against a stopper. It sprays in the circle, not just down but depends on the mechanism cover to also deflect water, so it leaks under the lid and down the sides until the float shuts the water off.could be great for outside except for the wasted water and the mud puddle.

Great idea, poor execution. Overflowed and could not fix the float to correct. Not worth the money.

We use these for chickens so works great no rust from the tin ones, but had to change half the floats, we keep them on hand , they tend to go bad, you can buy the better quality floats and still come out better off, the plastic is the key for us..

I was thoroughly impressed right out of the gate when I was able to feel the sturdiness of the GOTOTOP Automatic Waterer Bowl. It mounted very easily. However, I did have to make a modification to the hole where the threaded end goes thru. They made a round hole, but it has a square end on the inside to keep it from turning. I made the hole square and all was good. I kind of wish that the part that connects to the hose was metal, for a more secure fit, but it still did the job. I highly recommend the GOTOTOP Automatic Waterer Bowl. It would have gotten 5 Stars if it weren't for the modification.

The water shut off does not turn off the water. Always lets in a small amount. Lowered pressure, adjusted to lowest setting, however same results. The plastic bowl is not the best material for this purpose. Scale builds up, algae. Stainless steel bowls are better. Will replace it with one. My son has on works and stuff does not build up on it. Shuts off as well.

I bought two of these waterers to install in my barn, however the fittings are too small. The fittings don't mesh with the typical 1/2 or 3/4 hose connections. Other than that problem, I like the drain hole in the bottom and the sturdy construction.
