We purchased 2 scooters in July 2023. Apparently only a 1 year warranty because they were purchased from Amazon. 6 months later they had to send a brand new scooter because it stopped working. 1 year later and with that same scooter, the battery died....and only 99 miles on it. $700 for a scooter we have had nothing but problems with, including the replacement, and they wont do anything but give me a 10% discount on a $280 battery. I am very disappointed and will never buy from them again. Spread the word, don't buy GO TRAX, you have a 50/50 shot of your money not being wasted.

I’ve been riding this Gotrax scooter for a couple of weeks now and honestly, I love it! It’s super fun and easy to use. The acceleration is smooth, and it goes fast enough (20 mph feels perfect for getting around town). I usually get about 30+ miles on a full charge, which lasts me several days of short rides.

UPDATE: After several months and a poor Amazon review, I was finally contacted by a different member of the GoTrax team. They swiftly rectified the issue by replacing the scooter with a brand new version of the one I previously purchased. I am quite grateful that this occurred and my son is very happy to have a fully functioning scooter again.After upgrading to this Gotrax scooter 6 months ago, our experience has been frustrating. While my son was initially thrilled with the promise of higher speeds, we've encountered significant issues that remain unresolved.The problems began when the scooter suddenly stopped working, displaying an E5 error code. Despite being under warranty, dealing with Gotrax customer service has been challenging. Communication is limited to email only, and resolving issues has been a drawn-out process spanning two months.The company has sent two replacement motors, as this appears to be a known issue. The first replacement arrived with incorrect tires, and we had to persistently follow up to receive a second motor with the proper honeycomb tires. While the new motor eliminated the error code, the scooter now only reaches 16 mph – far below the advertised 20 mph and essentially matching the performance of our previous Gotrax model, which defeated the purpose of upgrading.Most concerning is Gotrax's current solution: they're requesting that we ship this 40-pound scooter back to them at our expense for repairs. Given our experience with their customer service and previous attempts at resolution, this seems unreasonable. At this point the only acceptable solution is a replacement at which time I will gladly ship back the defective scooter with a prepaid shipping label.Bottom line: Between the recurring technical issues, subpar performance, and difficult customer service experience, I cannot recommend this product.Pros:Initially worked as advertisedWarranty coverage (though difficult to utilize)Cons:Recurring motor issuesFails to reach advertised speedPoor customer serviceEmail-only supportCustomer bears shipping costs for repairs

We have learned a lot about scooters after buying the Eclipse. At first, it was frustrating because we had a rear tire issue, but we are glad to have been forced into a learning curve. The one thing that I would like to say up front is GoTrax, while not always fast, has a desire to work with and please the customer. Something rare in today’s industries. They have persistently reached out to me, even when I was busy and did not respond right away. They were determined to correct our issue. I would not hesitate to buy any of their products again.The Eclipse is up and running and we are loving it! It handles my husband’s 6’ 6” -220 lb. frame very well. We rode our scooters (Eclipse and G4) in downtown D.C. and kept up with traffic at our 20-mile pace. No problems at all. The upside of the Eclipse over the G4 (we own 2) is that the handlebars are wide enough to put a cell phone holder on which is a huge help when needing to use maps to navigate new urban terrain. It also has a higher weight limit. The G4 picks up faster, but it is a lighter scooter. We used a mixture of liquid laundry detergent and water. We tried putting on the tire without this and punctured the inner tube. Also use this to check the inside of the tire for any imperfections that might rub on the inner tube. We went through two inner tubes figuring this out. EDITED: In March 2024 the company got back to me and sent me a new scooter. New one arrived and it is great!I purchased this scooter back in June 2023. When I got it, it worked fantastic, then 2 months in both tired deflated on me. I emailed the GOTRAX customer service and it was a waste of time. They said they would send me a part but then 2 weeks later I emailed because I hadn't got anything and they told me the part of backordered and then asked if I wanted to return the scooter for refund or exchange. Your best bet is to just go to a local bike store that helps with scooter repair rather than the GOTRAX customer service.

The design and appearance of this scooter are sleek and modern, giving it a stylish and elegant look. The foldable design is incredibly convenient, making it a breeze to carry and store when I'm on the go. I love how the frame feels sturdy, and the moderate weight(36lb) makes it easy to carry up and down stairs or hop on public transportation without any hassle.The performance of the Gotrax G4 is top-notch. The high-capacity battery ensures a satisfying range, allowing me to travel a considerable distance on a single charge. What's more, the scooter’s 10" Pneumatic Tires & Front Suspension give me a smooth and comfortable ride on city roads or any other road condition. The responsive dual braking system is reliable, giving me the confidence to slow down and stop safely whenever needed. I drove it to the park a few times with my 5 yrs old daughter on it and it was super stable. Considering the price, the Gotrax G4 electricscooter offers excellent value for money.
