I recently passed my old car down to my son and bought a newer used car for myself. Unfortunately, the one feature missing from the newer vehicle that I had become so used to in the old vehicle was a heads up display. The first time I drove the newer vehicle, I was so thrown off by not having a digital readout of my speed. I drove for over 25 years without a digital readout prior to having one, so I don't know why it bothered me so much. I immediately started searching amazon for a solution and found this very inexpensive option. I tried it out today and it read an accurate speed immediately after spending 2 seconds to plug it in. I'll be spending a bit of time working on my cord management so that it doesn't look so haphazard. Also, I have some concerns about how it will work in the desert summer sun. Time will tell. So far, I am satisfied. For those making a big deal of it being merely a gps speedometer and not a true HUD...true, but a quick glance at this is way safer and easier than trying to read an analog dial. It does its job.

Nice size display and easy to read and easy to install. Accurate speed reading and inexpensive for $15. Wish it had a battery.

A true heads up display is a holographic projection of light produced against your windshield that allows you to see through it to anything in your field of vision as well as at the same time simultaneously being able to see your vehicle rate of travel that is a true heads up display. this is not a true heads up display. However it does locate satellite GPS and does give you an accurate display of miles per hour and it which you're traveling and it seems very responsive but it is still just a device to set on your dashboard that reads your miles per hour

For around $13 (as of this review), I found the accuracy and simplicity of this GPS unit flat out incredible. A 12V adapter and long (~7-8 ft) USB cable are also included. After plugging in the unit, it took maybe 20 seconds to acquire a signal. After that, the MPH readings were updating faster than the analog meter in my dashboard. They were also spot on.The display digits are very clear and at the same time, easy on the eyes.5 stars across the board here, this would make an excellent accessory for any e-bike, 4 wheeler etc that does not already have a speedometer. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for a Heads Up Display, or something with a compass, stop here. Nothing to see here. The product description is no good.If you are looking for an inexpensive USB powered GPS Speedometer, then this could work for you.First off, this thing is dirt simple. Just plug it into a USB power source (will work with a USB power bank) and give it a few seconds to acquire satellite signal. To its credit, the font is very clear and easy to see. And the display is bright enough to see in bright sunlight (the little hood helps). The update of the speed is also very responsive. Do note that if you lose signal, such as going through a tunnel, the device will stop working and display "--" until it reacquires the GPS satellite signal. The display comes with a QC3.0 USB car charger that has two with two USB ports, and a 6.5' mini-USB cable for power. You read that right: MINIUSB! What in the stone-age is that shenanigans?Note that there is no setup - just plug in and go. If you need speed in miles per hour, you are all set. If you need speed in KPH, well sorry no soup for you.Back to this device as a Heads Up Display - while you can lay it flat on the dashboard and have it project onto your windshield, unfortunately the display will be backwards. Plus there is no film provided, so you may see a double-image.
