This is a beautifully designed and thoughtfully written keepsake journal. It includes so many questions—many of which are often only thought of after a loved one has passed. The prompts not only encourage reflection but also open the door to deeper conversations about life, values, and lessons learned. It’s a wonderful way to gain a better understanding of the person filling it out and to create a lasting, personal legacy. Highly recommended for parents and grandparents. I’ll definitely be purchasing more!

My first impression was noticing that the “E” was misprinted. I looked the book over closer and there were a couple wrinkles in the cover and also a misprint on the edge border. It was disappointing the book - which I was hoping to be a keepsake to not be in perfect condition. I opened it up and browsed through some of the prompts. I like it, but it is done very simply. I like that it has an included/attached ribbon bookmark. I have a different brand for the “grandfather” that I like better and has more heirloom quality to me. Still a 4 star product (minus a star due to the imperfections on the front cover). My preference for a different book is just individual taste.

I bought this for a family member who asked me for a way for her children and grandkids to learn more about her after an all-too-early life transition was diagnosed. I came up with a handful, but this was the simplest and most direct method that she could use to start and stop depending on her energy level. It will also capture her handwriting for the future, which I am sure the family will treasure. It is pink, in faux leather, high quality, simple and elegant lettering, with an easy to identify cover and spine. The cover treatment and binding be-speak the dignity and respect due its contents. A ribbon keeps her place.The prompts cover many topics. Some are common to nearly every similar book, but many more are worded to encourage the flow of memories and hopes for the future. They are crafted to elicit entire memories, not one sentence answers. I am impressed with the amount of personality it elicits, not just narrative. Not only history and facts, but letters to family members in the future, being an authentic self, wished for do-overs, decisions that were life-changing, what she valued, beloved family stories, her personal philosoph on topics, the greatest influences in her life, the whimsical and imaginings, critical events & decisions, her expectations, support people, how she saw herself change over the years, do-overs, life advice, profound lessons, what she would do if given more time. The springboard for thought is incredible.The only thing it lacks is her recorded voice, but that is yet another story.
