I purchased the Graphtech Locking Tuners for a Made in America Fender Start because of the 2-pin design, I should have asked if they'd fit but I was in a hurry and made the purchase. They do not fit my USA Strat although with 28 guitars and I can find 1 I can install this set of Graphtech tuners. I like the tuners and the images show a home-built electric I've used the Graphtech Ratio tuners. Like I said I'll keep these because I know the quality and I'll use them either as an upgrade or another home built.

I put two sets of 3x3 tuners on my Danelectro 59x12. The included metal backing plates make installation easy—no drilling. The guitar can easily be returned to stock, although I would never want to. String changes are much easier and tuning stability enhanced due to eliminating the string winding on the pegs. Expensive but worth it.

I'm blown away by what a difference these make. Tuning is WAY more accurate, especially the notorious pain in the neck G string. My only minor complaints are the mounting plates don't match the chrome finish of the tuners and the "Ratio" logo on the buttons looks kind of dumb. But functionally they are the best tuners I've ever used.

They work great! Although they're on the large side, they fit. Look great, adapters come with the set for any guitar make, you just use what works best and/or match your guitar hardware. My original tuners mounted perpendicular to the head, the new tuners mounted at slight down angle which works due to their larger size. Large added a little more weight to the head stock, but the mahogany body offsets this. The tuners have made the tuning easier, more accurate, & the locking feature make string change faster & easier than trying to start to lock the string on the tuner. I'm going to put the smaller version on my acoustics. I wish there was a 12 string version.

I bought a cheap LP mini style Donner guitar a few months ago from Amazon. Some of the frets were actually about to fall out! I fixed the fretboard, installed new electronics and put these locking tuners and now this thing plays like a Gibson LP mini! Graph Tech locking tuners are very good. To go half step down or even Drop D, C# or C are all a breeze and it stays in tune.

they won't exactly fit the Gibson headstock hole . with a little research I found that the Gibson headstock hole was 8.75mm some there around there. the base of the shaft of the locking turner is about 9.06mm. so the hole in the headstock is about a fraction of a mm off. it seams most locking turners have this 9.06mm base. grover does have few locking turners that comply with the main mounting hole on gibsons but the the two mounting screws do not line up. with the graph tech locking turners ,you'll have to file out the main holes with a rounded file or as known as rat tail file. use the corresponding plates that they give you that will match up perfectly with the Gibson original kluson or pearl, greenie turners that come with the Gibson guitars. these plates make a perfect line up with original tiny mounting screws. no drilling required. I own a Gibson les paul and a Gibson es-335. the turners worked out great!!.a little work of filing will do the job. these are fantastic locking turners. only problem save your old mounting screws.the screws they come with were a tad to small for the original holes created by the kluson turners. in the beginning I thought they would be a problem but now I find them to be excellent product. the engineering of these is amazing .different ratios for locking strings of different sizes. I installed them in both Gibson guitars and their absolutely fantastic!! bending strings no problem! always stays in tune. first time since I've owned these Gibson guitars.
