We got a new Jeep, This gun rack works for guns that are of normal length, however my husbands 338 and 300 mags are too long.

Took maybe 5 minutes to install into my 2011 Wrangle JK Sport. I decided to mount in the back compartment, rather than in the Drivers compartment, as I'm over 6 foot tall. Although it didn't obscure my view, it was in my upper peripheral vision.You will need TWO large adjustable jaw (Crescent) wrenches to install. One to hold the adjustment nut, the other to tighten the locking nut. Mounted against the roll bar with ease.This overhead gun rack has now been in my Jeep for over three years. I've had to adjust and tighten it once,and that was shortly after initial installation. It's held 2 heavy rifles for this entire time while engaged in a significant amount of desert off-roading with no issues.HIGHLY recommend for Jeeps.
