The movie was a somewhat cliche coming of age love story, and even though shallow, it is not unlike the real life versions of first love/crush. What I most like about this movie is the character Estrella, played by Gwyneth Paltrow. She exemplifies that freshly blossoming beauty of a young woman. Her nude modeling scene is a movie classic in the "Lolita" vein of Jane Fonda, Sharon Tate, Bridget Bardot and other beautiful actresses through time.
