Very impressed with the cute thoughtful design of these. For some reason had been expecting them to be soft silicone but they’re quite solid. Hopeful that they easily remove seedlings with minimal root disturbance.

This was one of my Valentine’s Day gifts this year and I have to say so far, I’m loving this set of seed starting pots. I recently transplanted my ivy leaf geraniums that is started in 3/4” soil blocks into this and there doesn’t seem to be any issues with the seedlings as a result of the transplanting. I love the self watering feature, it’s helpful especially when you have 9 individual pots to water. I haven’t utilized the advertised “write on plant labels” that are essentially the part of the pot that you use to lift the entire plant out of the pot since all of my seedlings are one variety but I can see that being helpful. It’s a bit on the “spendy” side but it’s definitely something that will last a long time provided you don’t drop the whole unit or something. I can see how dropping it could cause it to crack or break. But that’s a risk I’m willing to take for the ingenuity of the design. I also appreciate that it’s dishwasher safe which will make cleaning a breeze.

My favorite feature of this product is the fact that it's easily reusable. The plastic seems to be high quality and isn't flexible at all. It's very functional for seedlings and it's easy to live to them out and transplant them with minimal root disruption. It retains moisture better than coir or natural seed trays but not as well as a closed tray.

As an experienced gardening enthusiast who has tested various seedling tools, I'm genuinely impressed by the thoughtful design details of this Green Bazzar Seed Starter Tray. Here's my objective review after practical use:Key Design Highlights:1. Handle Design: The Secret to Zero-Root-Damage TransplantingEffortless Lifting: Each cell's integrated handle makes transplanting remarkably simple. When moving seedlings, just lift vertically by the handle - the entire soil plug comes out intact with completely undisturbed roots. Compared to prying out plants from conventional trays, efficiency improves by more than double.Root Inspection Made Easy: Allows frequent checking of root development during daily care without disturbing the soil, preventing unnecessary stress to seedlings. Particularly beginner-friendly for visually determining watering or transplanting timing.2. Anti-Overwatering Base Tray DesignSide Watering Ports: Add or drain water from the sides without moving cells or causing spills.Elevated Drainage Structure: Small bumps on the tray bottom lift cells 2-3mm, ensuring soil absorbs moisture without waterlogging. Even occasional overwatering drains quickly through side ports, minimizing root rot risks.Bottom-Up Irrigation: Water is absorbed naturally by roots from below, avoiding top-watering issues like soil disruption or seedling damage - ideal for delicate herb seeds.3. Optimized Spatial PlanningThe 2.3-inch-deep cells balance space efficiency with root expansion needs. Growing common vegetables like basil or lettuce maintains proper spacing - neither overcrowded nor requiring premature transplanting.4. Durable Construction That LastsHigh-density plastic outperforms disposable trays with its solid texture and smooth finish. Shows no deformation or cracks after multiple uses, and cleans easily with just water rinsing. Why It's Worth Buying:This tray's core value lies in solving two critical pain points: transplant shock and moisture management. While most products compete on price or capacity, its handle and tray design genuinely improve seedling success rates. Particularly suited for:Delicate varieties: Like tomatoes or strawberries with fragile root systems.Batch seedling operations: Requiring frequent root checks or staggered transplanting.Space-limited growers: Balcony gardeners benefit from precise handling without soil spills.Final Verdict:If you're tired of transplanting anxiety or seedling losses from improper watering, this tray delivers. Without unnecessary features, it refines crucial details - the handle and drainage design alone make it stand out from competitors.
