This product does not work at all. It bends very easy, it does not cut i would not recommend this product at all

I was hoping this plastic Spiral Slicer can slice a potato into a long spiral that I can skewer and fry like the treats we bought in Tokyo. However this spiral slicer failed miserably.I spent time to buy a small 2" diameter potato that would fit within the spiral slicer. I carefully centered the corkscrew to the center of one end of the slicer and started to turn the slicer to get the corkscrew started. Once the blade started to contact the outside of the potato, the cutting was slow as a raw potato is quite hard and the plastic blade is not very sharp. The width of the slices are not consistent and some over 1/8" thick while other points are barely paper thin and then split off in to a separate piece. Once past the center middle of the potato, it go harder and harder to turn. Another chunk came off. I ended up with 4 pieces from one small potato.This plastic device does not work. The corkscrew needs to be longer and the entire cutter sharper. Epic fail, waste of time & money. Not at all satisfactory.

This slicer is much smaller than I thought it would be. However, it does work. It's easy to use and is much sturdier than it looks. It did okay in the dishwasher but since it is so small washing by hand would be best. Not a bad product.
