I use this product to sharpen Tungsten rods for TIG Welding. The fine grit prevents any unnecessary arc wandering and simplifies the user control side of my particular unit. This wheel came with many shims for different grinder shaft sizes. when fully removed these bushings measure .825" range and when installed completely measured around half inch. I use a .625" shaft on my bench grinder and it fits nice and snug to prevent misalignment and full speed balancing problems. When i destroy this one ill be back to order another.
