It picks up many nails in one pass. I use it on the construction site where I am building a new house. Once, every couple of days, I walk the site picking up dropped nails and screws to keep the job site safe. I love this little magnet.

I liked the fact that the magnet end is very strong and a decent diameter. It picks up anything that is a ferrous material. The telescoping handle is very helpful getting into tight spots or around undergrowth. The only downside is that the handle screws into the magnet end rigidly at a 90 degree angle, that means the magnet is very seldom parallel to the ground. That is offset somewhat due to the strength of the magnet. It worked very well for me.

Bought it because we had nails in our driveway and popped a tire. After sweeping with this a couple times we got them all out relatively easily. Seems moderately strong and was worth the purchase.

The only time that I actually had the opportunity to use this was when I lost a screw while repairing my clothes dryer. I couldn't even see the thing, but this tool didn't care. I heard it "grab" the screw and was able to finish the job.
