Block was not deburred at all. Really sharp edges..0009 out of flatness on the bottom from side to side. Not acceptable for a surface gauge.

When I first got this gauge I had to use a pair of vise-grips to loosen the spindle nut. The scriber nut simply cannot be tightened enough by hand to actually hold the scriber tightly enough for use, so either the diameter of the scriber is too small or the diameter of the clamp is too large. Other people don't seem to have the same problem, so I think it is safe to say that, like so many products at this level, there is simply no quality control in place. I actually purchased several Grizzly branded products at the same time as I purchased this one, and they are all now in the scrap bin. Do yourself a favor, pay more and get some actually quality. There is none with this product.

take great care qhen you open the box. I puncture my hand two times with the sharp point. This is really sharp. Comes with a short 9" and a long 12" rod for more versatility. Unfortunately Amazon raise the price soon after i bought it. When I bought it the canadian price was even with the US price and i even got free shipping. Paid 17$ can.
