Growing Tips for Seeds
Quality Growing Media
Opt for a high-quality growing medium such as a mixture of coco coir and peat moss. These provide good aeration and moisture retention, which are crucial for seed germination and early growth.
Warmth
Maintain a consistently warm environment for your seeds, ideally around 70-80°F (21-27°C). This encourages faster germination and promotes healthy seedling development.
Adequate Light
Ensure your seeds receive sufficient light, preferably from a bright, south-facing window or using grow lights. Light is essential for photosynthesis, which fuels plant growth. Aim for around 12-16 hours of light per day for most seedlings.
Proper Watering
Water your seeds regularly, but avoid overwatering, as this can lead to damping off and root rot. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. It's essential to strike a balance to prevent both underwatering and overwatering.
Optimal Humidity
Maintain adequate humidity levels around your seeds and seedlings to ensure successful germination and early growth. You can achieve this by covering the seed trays with a clear plastic dome or using a humidity dome. Alternatively, you can mist the soil surface lightly with water to increase humidity. Consistent moisture in the air helps prevent the soil from drying out too quickly and promotes healthy seedling development.

Quite happy with it - I was unsure, but finally got around to activating the soil and sowing a few seeds (Packet had way more than needed) Followed instructions and just sat it in front of my computer monitor, 10 days later got the first signs of green buds, so it now sits in windowsill for a little more sunshine. Time will tell if it actually grows into a cactus, but it seems to be viable, and quite a bunch of leftover seeds if I should choose to try again and grow more. So far 3 little buds out of the "pinch" of seeds scattered.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this Saguaro Cactus Seed Kit, this kit is tiny, but the kit contains everything that is advertised. I am very excited to start these saguaro cactus seeds. I live in the high desert and these kinds of cactus don’t really grow here. The seeds look great, but only time will tell regarding how many of the seeds germinate. There are at least 75 seeds included, enough for several different plantings.
