I have gone through a number of different tapes lately, trying to fond one that just simply "Works" in all of the situations I need it to. So far, this works FAR better than any of the duct tapes I have tried. Not sure how it will stand up to the elements or time, but it adheres a lot better, tears smoother, feels like its higher quality, etc.

Sticks well where you want it to, but easily removable. Easy to tear, but strong when something pulls on it; good grip surface. The 4" size is definitely a new favorite for holding down cables rather than overlapping narrower rolls! Price is a *little* high for me, but I'm 100% satisfied with this stuff, and will certainly buy a roll when this is out.

This tape has so many uses. It’s an essential for me as a live musician. I’m a stage manager and use it for taping down cords, marking positions and fixing just about everything else.It has a matte, clothe-like surface, is waterproof and extremely sticky. If you like duct tape, you’ll love this gaffer tape!

The ability to tape things down/together/apart and not leave a sticky mess is awesome. Once you go with some gaffer tape, you'll never bother with messy duct tape or the others... this stuff rocks. That's why gaffer tape is found in every theater or music venue in the world... it's an instant fix and not a mess. This tape is as good as any brand I've tried and I'll be back for more!

If you've never used gaffer's tape before, your life will change. It's the strength of duct tape, except you can tear it easily and it peels off with no residue. I go through a few rolls a year. This roll is SUPER wide, so should do great for repairs or larger jobs.

Falling between painter's tape and duct tape on the stiction continuum, URBAN SOMBRERO Professional Grade Gaffer Tape is an essential in my kit for both recording and photo sessions. I use this especially to keep cables in place where people might otherwise trip over them, but I've also used it for marking, when something needs to be temporarily held in place, and even to block unwanted light sources or reflections. Unlike other types of tape, this professional grade gaffer tape holds strongly but can be removed with no (or very little) residue being left behind. I'm delighted with this tape and recommend it.

Probably been a decade since I've had gaffer tape and I can tell you after a few days of having it around, I don't understand why I waited so long to buy more.This stuff is used in almost every television and movie production, often to tape wires and cables to the floor so that people don't trip on them.It's also used to keep almost anything up or repair almost anything on set.With the 4-in width this stuff is fantastic.Yesterday I had an electric job I was doing replacing some outlets and I was able to use this to temporarily hold stuff in place like a second set of hands.This is the product that when you buy it, you're going to find uses that you never imagined for it.Imagine a much thicker duct tape that can be easily torn by hand and can be easily removed without leaving a residue.That's pretty much what gaffer's tape is and I can highly recommend it.

The tape is made of a very strong material that will hold up well. I used some to hold down a microphone cable on a concrete floor. After several hours I removed the tape. It came up easily in one piece. There was no residue left on the cable or the floor. Price seems reasonable for the quality of the tape.
